Break Dawn Golf Tournament

The latest thing in golf is TGL (for TMRW Golf League), a golf league created by TMRW Sports, a venture formed by sports executive Mike McCarley and professional golfers Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy in partnership with the PGA Tour. The league combines traditional golf play with elements of simulated indoor golf and features players from the PGA Tour.   

• Triples (Holes 1-9) - Three players on a team compete in an alternate shot format, with the team determining who will hit first, second, and third before the match

  
  

One of the rules in TGL is the Shot Clock – From the time they place the ball on the ground, players have 40 seconds to hit their shot, a time frame based on the USGA’s pace-of-play recommendations and displayed on video screens throughout the venue. A team will be given a one-stroke penalty on the hole if their player fails to hit their shot within the allotted time.

Of course, we here at BJG are just a little different. Here is the plan for the Golf Simulators after the BJG Winter Meeting.

We have TWO golf simulators scheduled for us to play after the BJG Winter Meeting (11:30 to 1:00).  We will have FOUR Three Golfer teams playing in an Alternate Shot format.

I wanted to try using the shot clock, but I think having 13 Golfers in this room will be enough of a distraction.

The team with the lowest points after one hour and twenty Minutes will be declared the winner and awarded a prize. No handicaps will be used.

Simulator ONE (Left Side)

Adam’s Aces – Adam, Mike J, & Alex

Iron Mike’s Masters – Mike M, Matt, & EJ

Simulator TWO (Right Side)

JT’s Steady Strikers – JT, James, & Rachelle

Rob’s Birdie Bandits – Rob, Eric, & Steve

There is just one more day until the BJG Winter Meeting.
