The 2025 BJG season has finally arrived, though not without a chill in the air and some rain on the horizon. Despite the weather forecast, spirits are high, and 15 of the 16 golfers have arrived. James is enjoying warmer temperatures elsewhere, which he was more than happy to share with us.

With no late arrivals, the teams quickly formed, and the fun was about to begin. Though the day started with a bit of a chill, the rain held off, and we were in for a fantastic round of golf.

Front Nine Scores:

  • Group 4 (Mike J, Matt, Joe & Rachelle): Raptors – 29

  • Group 2 (Joe V, Rey, Eric & EJ): Fighting Falcons – 33

  • Group 3 (Mike M, Steve, Rob & Joe T): Super Hornets – 33

  • Group 1 (Adam, JT & Alex): Strike Eagles – 35

The Raptors were absolutely on fire. If I hadn’t been there to witness it, I wouldn’t have believed it. Mike J carried the team early, but once he found his rhythm, he was unstoppable. With eight birdies and just a single bogey, they soared through the first nine.

The Fighting Falcons and the Super Hornets played solid golf but would need to step it up to catch the Raptors. The Falcons posted four birdies and one bogey, while the Hornets had three birdies and no bogeys.

The Strike Eagles found themselves in trouble after a tough front nine, adding just 2 birdies and a bogey to their scorecard.

Back Nine Scores:

  • Group 1 (Adam, JT & Alex): Strike Eagles – 34

  • Group 3 (Mike M, Steve, Rob & Joe T): Super Hornets – 35

  • Group 4 (Mike J, Matt, Joe & Rachelle): Raptors – 35

  • Group 2 (Joe V, Rey, Eric & EJ): Fighting Falcons – 36

The Strike Eagles improved on the back nine, with two birdies and no bogeys.

The Super Hornets and the Raptors kept it tight. The Hornets added one birdie and no bogeys, while the Raptors finished strong with two birdies but ended with an ugly bogey on the last hole.

Mike J continued his excellent play, with Matt’s steady drives and Joe & Rachelle contributing key safe shots and putting lines. The Raptors maintained their momentum for the win.

It was the Fighting Falcons who faltered on the back nine, adding two birdies but also two bogeys to their score.

  1. Team 4 - The Raptors – 64

  2. Team 3 - The Super Hornets – 68

  3. Team 1 - The Strike Eagles – 69
