The End of the 2025 BJG Regular Season

In the BJG Championship preview, I said we were heading into a “moving day,” and that by the end, we’d have some answers. Turns out, I wasn’t wrong — the leaderboard saw massive shifts, the playoff picture became crystal clear, and we officially closed the book on the regular season in dramatic fashion.

🏆 Rachelle Takes It All

Let’s start at the top. Rachelle, who entered the day in 3rd place, played lights-out golf and walked away with both the BJG Championship and the Race to Big Y (Dubai) Regular Season Title (along with the Big Check and $50.00 Big Y Gift Card). In doing so, she overtakes Adam, who had held the top spot for 70 consecutive days. Rachelle now heads into the postseason as the player to beat and the clear front-runner for 2025 BJG Rookie of the Year. Not a bad day at the office.

📉 The Fall of the Leaderboard

Adam’s 32-point cushion looked solid, but it wasn’t enough. He slips to 2nd place — still earning a first-round bye and a bit of redemption alongside Rachelle: they now head into their honeymoon as the league’s top duo.

Rachelle and Adam will also be our Captains for the 2025 BJG Presidents Cup.

Magic Mike also takes a small tumble, dropping from 2nd to 3rd. He, too, grabs a first-round bye and remains a dangerous contender in the playoffs.

📈 Major Movers

  • Alex made the biggest leap of the day — jumping from 8th to 4th. The former FedUp Cup Champion looks like he’s heating up at just the right time, and with a first-round bye, don’t be surprised if he makes a deep run.

  • Joe moved up from 6th to 5th and secured the #1 seed in the first round of the playoffs.

  • James slipped slightly to 6th, but that’s still a major step forward from last year, when he didn’t make the cut. He grabs the #2 seed.

  • Rey surged from 10th into a tie for 6th, ultimately landing the #3 seed after a coin flip with James.

  • EJ falls from 5th to 8th to finish as the #4 seed.

  • JT (#5 seed) , Iron Mike (#6 seed), Joe T (#7 seed), and Stephen (#8 seed) round out the playoff qualifiers — with Stephen holding on to that final, coveted 12th spot.

❌ The First CUTs are the Deepest.

Unfortunately, for Rob, Eric, Matt, and Joe V, the BJG Championship marked the end of the road — at least for now.  They will each get one more chance at redemption at The Legend of Tomorrow / Losers of Today event.

  • Rob played well, but missing four events proved too much to overcome. That said, never count him out — Rob won the Legends of Tomorrow in 2024 and was part of a 3-way tie for the FedUp Cup Championship. He’ll be dangerous in the consolation bracket.

  • Eric showed grit, especially considering he played without his own clubs after they were stolen, just before the Valhalla Match Play. Still, three missed events sealed his fate.

  • Matt’s been juggling a tough work schedule, and despite only missing a couple of rounds, the results just didn’t go his way this year. But don’t feel too bad — he was a big winner in 2024 and will be back.

  • Joe V missed five rounds, and his 5 handicap is no joke in this league. Even so, he remains one of the most enjoyable partners and is a great league presence.
