The Pretenders Championship (2025)

On June 1st, 2025, we will play our version of “The Players Championship,” which we call The PRETENDERS Championship.

The Pretenders Championship will be played at Edgewood Golf Course, 161 Sheep Pasture Rd, Southwick, MA 01077.

Green fee with a cart is $53; walking will cost $38.

The Pretenders is worth a total of 408 points. First place will receive 48 points, and last place will receive 3 points.

This year, we will be pretending to be Action Figures.

As last year's Champion, Adam, will lead us off the first tee box.

Rob, JT, and Joe T will not be joining us for The Pretenders, so we will be seeing some Free Points.            

The Closest To The Pins will be on the 8th hole, a Par 3 at 170 yards, and on the 13th hole, a Par 3 at 150 yards.  Group One will drop off the BJG equipment, and Group Four will pick it up and return it to Adam.

There is water on the right side of the 1st Hole at about 210 yards and the 2nd hole at about 135 yards.  These will play as normal penalty areas.

Holes 11, 13 & 14 are water holes with BJG Drop Zones.

WEATHER: Right now, the forecast calls for a mixture of sunshine and clouds with a low temperature of 50 degrees and a high of 68 degrees. There is an 11% chance of rain, and Winds will be at 10 to 15 MPH.

It looks like it will rain on Saturday, so there will be a few wet spots at Edgewood.  

Please turn in your scorecard to EJ and the CTTP cards to Adam.
