BJG is no stranger to the 3 Club Challenge. For us, it all started back in 2015 as our fourth and final Major of the season — with my brother Chris taking home the win. Rock followed up with a victory in 2016.
In 2017, Chris secured his second title. Then in 2018, his son Dan took the crown (from the yellow tees, no less). Chris came back and won the last 3 Club Challenge in 2019, making it three total wins for him.
Chris may not have racked up many BJG trophies over the years, but give the guy just three clubs and he could absolutely play the game.
Fast-forward to 2024 — the membership asked to bring it back, so here we are once again.
The 3 Club Challenge plays just like any other Broken Joe Golf event: same scoring system, same points on the line — but with one big twist. You only have three clubs. That’s it. Choose wisely, leave the rest in your car or at home, and no, you can’t borrow from anyone else.
This year's event will be held at East Mountain Country Club in 1458 E Mountain Rd, Westfield, MA on Sunday, April 27th, 2025.
This event is worth a total of 272 points, with 32 points going to the winner and 2 points to the last place.
East Mountain's tee colors are a little odd. The men will play from the Blues, and the women will play from the Greens.

Sometimes, there is water at the bottom of the 9th Hole. Water is in front of the 10th hole tee box, and a BJG Drop Zone has been added.

There is water running down the right side of 11. And there is water on the left side on 18.
Weather - Sunshine and clouds mixed with a low of 45 degrees and a high of 65 degrees. Wind NNW at 10 to 20 mph.
Group One will drop off the Closest to the Pin equipment, and Group Four will return it to Adam.
The Closets to the Pins are the 3rd Hole, 130 yard, Par 3, and the 17th Hole, 144 yard, Par 3.
So the only question left is… Who will be crowned the 2025 King or Queen of Clubs?

Remember, this is a back-to-back round for us with the Woods Shootout being played at Westover on May 4th, 2025.
Respectfully,
Broken Joe
