This will be the first time BJG has attempted to play Match Play. The issue is always about having an even number of Golfers and hoping everyone shows up.
Currently, Joe T and Rob are out, which leaves us with 14 golfers.
Another first for BJG, is that we will be playing at Keney Park Golf Course, 171 Windsor Ave, Windsor, CT 06095. Walking rate is $51, and it is another $22 for a cart ($73).
I had a few different ideas for setting up the Matches, but since BJG has always been just a little off, I decided to make Match Play a little personal…

Groups and Tee Times:
Group One: 8:39
Cart 1: Husband vs Wife – Adam vs Rachelle (+14)

Cart 2: Mike vs Mike – Iron Mike vs Magic Mike (+5)

Group Two: 8:48
Cart 3: Battle of the Middle (Handicappers) – JT vs James (+1)

Cart 4: Guests
Group Three: 8:57
Cart 5: Friend vs Friend – Rey vs Stephen (+2)

Cart 6: The Show from Below – Matt vs Eric (+9)

Cart Four: 9:06
Cart 6: Father vs Son – Joe vs EJ (+8)

Cart 7: David and Goliath - Joe V vs Alex (+28)

You will play all 18 holes. Yes, you can concede a putt and a hole, but I need you to play all 18 holes.
You will earn 2 points for each hole you WIN. You will earn 1 point for each hole you TIE. At the end of the round, we will count up the points. From there, we will assign 1st Place to 14th Place and then assign BJG Points.
Victory of Valhalla – Match Play Points are worth a total of 272 Points, with 1st Place being worth 32 Points and Last Place being worth just 2 Points.
I should have scorecards for each match on Sunday.
Handicaps

The front nine CTTP is the 109-yard, Par 3, 3rd Hole. The back nine CTTP is the 162-yard, Par 3 13th hole, and is worth $40. Everyone plays from the Whites for the CTTP.
Weather: Right now, Partly to mostly cloudy, scattered afternoon storms. Low: 69. High: 85.
Keney Park has some streams, but I did not see any ponds or lakes that will need a BJG drop zone.
EJ and I have put together a golf bag with some golf clubs for Eric. If you would like to donate any clubs, please bring them with you on Sunday.
Respectfully,
Broken Joe
Commissioner
