After a rough week, the Blog finally went out just 48 hours before the start of the Pan Am.

We hope that Adam's twins are doing well and that Rob had a good vacation. We hope that JT is feeling better and that Rey had a good baseball practice. We also hope Eric's work is going well, too.

When I arrived at Mill Valley Golf Course is was about 22 Degrees. Yes, it was COLD, and we were all wondering why we had signed up to play golf in March.

I was determined not to be cold, so I brought most of my cold-weather gear to the golf course.

All eleven of our members arrive along with our two alternates, Dustin and Danny. This gives us a nice round number of 13.

FRONT NINE:

The weather started out cold, but by the 3rd hole, I was tired of taking off and putting back on my Flannel Jacket. I only wore my heated vest for the first hole. As long as you were in the sun and the wind wasn't blowing hard, it was actually a nice day.

Team Gang Green has a single birdie and shot 1 under (35).

Team Mellow Yellow has two Birdies and two Bogeys to shoot even par (36).

Team Purple Haze has one birdie and three Bogeys, shooting 2 over (38).

Team Orange Crush has six bogeys and shoots 6 over (42).

Except for Team Orange Crush, the scores are close, and it is still anyone's game.

As a group, the 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 6th holes played the easiest at even par. The two par 3 holes (3 & 9) played the hardest at half a stroke over par.

BACK NINE:

Team Purple Haze shoots even par (35).

Team Gang Green has a Bogey and shoots one over (36).

Team Mellow Yellow has two Bogeys and shoots two over (37).

Team Orange Crush does play better on the back. They get a Birdie and only four Bogeys (39).

As a group, the 12th hole played the easiest at just under par. The 14th hole played the hardest at half a stroke over par.

As a group, we shot a 38 on the front and a 37 on the back for a score of 75 (4 over par).

FINAL SCORE:

1st Place: Team Gang Green - 71

2nd Place: Team Mellow Yellow - 73

2nd Place: Team Purple Haze - 73

4th Place: Team Orange Crush - 81

As it turns out, Gang Green played more like the Green Dream Team. Team Mellow Yellow wasn't so mellow, and Team Purple Haze wasn't so hazy. Team Orange Crush was more like Orange Juice without the pulp.

*** As you can see, I gave Dustin his points. With all of the missing golfers we've had over the first two events, I have decided to let Dustin play spoiler. This means that while Dustin is on the leaderboard, he will only get points if a member doesn't play. If we are missing two golfers, I will offer the spot to Danny. *** I appreciate Dustin and Danny helping us out.

POLL QUESTION RESULTS: The results from our poll question concerning Longest Drive / Closets to the Pin showed that the membership wants a LONGEST DRIVE AND CLOSEST TO THE PIN event, with 63% of the vote. Of course, only half the membership bothered to vote, so there is that. The estimated cost for that is $25 per person and is due at The Misters.

Next on the schedule is our first Major, The Misters, which will be played on April 12, 2026. Followed by the 3 Club Challenge on April 19th at East Mountain.

Right now, The Misters is scheduled to be played at Chicopee Country Club

I hope everyone has a Happy Easter !!!

Respectfully,

Broken Joe
