Some of the questions asked previously were answered at yesterday's "2015 Father's Day Cup" but some people may not like those answers. The major also offered double points but only a couple of people took advantage of that.

Cart 1 & 2, the front 9:
Dave was clearly the MAN with 5 pars and a pair of double bogeys on the 2nd and 9th hole to finish the front 9 with a 41.
Jake had no pars to go along with his 3 double bogeys and an 8 on the 9th hole. Jake finished the front with a 50.
Chris had 5 double bogys and no pars and shot a 50 for the front. Chirs was consistent with his 5s and 6s.
Joe had two eights, two double bogeys and two pars to shoot a 49 on the front.
Cart 3 & 4, the front 9:
Dan & Leon: I thought this was going to be good match up and I think it was. After the first 4 holes Leon showed Dan that he was here to play and had a 2 stroke lead. At the end of 9 holes that lead would prove to not be enough. Over the last five holes Dan played bogey golf to shoot a 51 to Leon's 56. Over the span of the last 5 holes, Leon had a double bogey and 3 triple bogeys.
Matt: As good as Dave was Matt was that bad. Not bad like week 4, where he shot a 153 or in week 7 were he shot a 134, but bad enough to tie for 3rd with a 51 handicap. Matt had one double bogey, 5 triple bogeys and 2 quaduple bogeys to finish the front nine with a 62. However, that is only 8 strokes from Leon.
The back 9....
Dave started out on the back nine with 2 double bogeys but once again caught fire to run off 3 pars and 3 bogeys until he finally got a double bogey at the 18th. Dave finishes the back with a 45 and total of 86. Nobody in this group is going to touch that low score.
Jake started the back 9 with 3 triple bogeys and a double bogey. On the 14th hole we started to see the old Jake where he played bogey golf for the next 4 holes. Jake missed so many putts that I almost gave him my new putter.
Chris was a man on a mission for the first 6 holes on the back where he was shooting bogey golf...
Joe started the back nine like the Broken Joe from Florida shooting a double and triple bogey and a 9. Joe's nickname should have been the "Sandman", everytime he hit the ball it would find sand. In fact he found the sand twice on the same hole. Joe finally got a bogey on the 13th hole but went right back to double bogey on the 14th.

16th and 17th hole, the wheels start to wobble...
On the 16th hole Chris is up by 7 with Jake and Joe tied on the back nine with 38. As I said before, Jake is playing bogey golf at this point and Joe starts to make a final push in order to maintain some dignity. Joe shoots par on 16 and a bogey on 17. Chris starts to wobble shooting a triple and double bogey but he is still up by 3 on Joe and 4 on Jake.
18th hole... and the wheels come off and there is a terrible crash...
Jake hits his first ball off the tee, splash. Chris hits his first ball off the tee, splash. Joe hits his tee shot on to the center of the green. Jake hits his second tee shot, splash. Chris hits his second tee shot, splash. Chris hits his third tee shot and we have another splash. When everything was over and the crying stopped, Joe got a par and Chris and Jake got 8s.
Joe shot a 99, Chris shoots a 102 and is now "Broken Chris" (I might have to start a new website for him). Jake shoots a whooping 106, that will help his handicap but I think Dan and Leon lost respect for him as a golfer.
Back to Cart 3 & 4:
Dan , obvouisly tired with the new baby and the new puppy, starts to wobble on the first 5 holes shooting a triple bogey, 3 quadruple bogeys and 9 on a par four. Meanwhile, Leon must have taken some Geritol at the turn.because at the end of the 14th hole Dan had a 42 nad Leon had a 32.
Holes 15 through 18:
Dan, tired of wacthing the AARP card carrying old man kick his ass, starts to make a come back. Leon's Geritol must have been all used up because he lets Dan back into the game. In these last 4 holes Dan shoots a 20 to Leon's 28.
In the end, Leon wins the battle of the back nine with a 60 to Dan's 62 but Dan explained to Leon in no uncertin terms that he is the better golfer, shooting a 113 to Leon's 116. Close but not close enough.
Matt had five 8s with one of them being on the 18th hole Par 3 (Hello Chris and Jake). To go with those 8s, he also had two 7s. Matt did have 2 double bogeys so he could at least pretend that he came to play golf. Matt shoots a 65 on the back and has a total score of 127.
When the day came to a close, Dave came, he saw and he conquered. He did not just conquer the course but he also conquered his fellow golfers, all of which have some high handicaps. Congratulations to Dave.
To the rest of us, we better get some practice in or pray for a higher handicap. Me? I'm going to practice because Matt's high handicap hasn't been working for him.
