Since Vea and I had the day off we decide to get in a round of golf at Pine Knoll. You may recall that after our last round at Pine Knoll, Vea wanted a 30 strokes handicap.

The first hole I was just short and Vea was too long and into the sand. She made a nice chip out and finished with a 5. I got a par. I really like this new putter.

We tied with fours on the 2nd hole. On the 3rd hole she ran into some trouble finishing with a 7 while I got another par.

On the 4th hole she was short off the tee box but made an excellent long chip shot and we tied with 4s again. On the 5th hole, Vea ran into more trouble and ended up with a 7 and I got a 4.

On the 7th hole I lost a ball off the tee box and went it went down hill from there. I finished the hole with a 7 while she got a 4. On the 8th and 9th holes, I parred both holes and she got two 5s.

After 9 hole I shot a 34 and Vea had a 47. I was up by 13 but if you split her handicap for 9 holes to 15, I was down by 2. I could be in trouble. Of course the back nine is longer and it was getting warmer.

On the 10th hole I had an excellent tee shot and 2 putted for par. The pin placement is always tough on this hole and Vea ended up with an 8. I was starting to feel better.

On the 11th hole my tee shot ended up by the tree and Vea's was off to the left. She had a nice chip shot that land just off the green. She then one putts for par and commences to dance on the green but only she can hear the crowd calling her name. A par is a par. I get a 4 and move to the next tee box.

On the 12th, 13th and 14th holes I get a two 4s and a 3. Vea gets two 5s and a 6.

(12th hole - Both of us are SHORT)

On the 15th hole I lose another ball and we both tie with a 5.

On 16 I hit a nice tee shot but then 4 putt to finish with 5. Vea shots a 7.

On the 17th hole I get a 4 and she gets a 6.

The 18th hole - the Championship of the World. My tee shot is too far and her's is short. We both chip on the green and 2 putt. We tie for the Championship of the World but she is tired and hot and is not walking back to the tee box. I call it a tie.

For the back 9 I shot a 36 to her 49.

Final score: I get a 70 and she has a 96. Vea wins by 4 strokes.

Next time she only get 26 strokes.
