I was sitting around think about golf when I received a call from the Competition Committee. They asked me “why do you award points by score and by handicap score and then divide by 2 to come up with the average weekly scores?.” What they said made sense. If we have handicaps then why wouldn’t we only use the handicaps scores to get our weekly points.

So I started to think about that and I decide to run some numbers…
Right now the Points Leaderboard looks like this:
Joe – 131
Chris – 117
Dave – 111.5
Jake – 100.75
Dan – 92.5
Leon – 78.25
Rock – 62.75
Matt – 62.25
But if we were to look at the points based only on handicap scores than they would look like this:
Joe – 115.5
Chris – 104
Dan – 103.5
Dave – 98
Jake – 86.5
Rock – 73.5
Leon – 69
Matt – 67.5
If I were Dan and Rock, I would be screaming “Party Foul”. Right after that, I would make a call to the Competition Committee.

I guess we will have something to talk about on Thursday.
