“In a pride of lions, one (occasionally as many as 3-4) male is the undisputed leader. This male is usually between the ages of 3 and 15, and it is he who mates with all the females, drives out the younger males, and defends the pride from outside threats. Young lions, on the other hand, are driven out of the pride by the old male/s when they reach maturity. From this point on they generally roam, looking for an old male to challenge and replace as head of their own pride. The analogy extends to human behavior, particularly in areas where men compete, such as sports and social situations.”

Which brings me to my point, Dave and Dan have challenged Chris and Joe to a “Young verse Old” game of golf while we are at the 2017 Florida International Championship. The day and the format have yet to be determined but the old guys accept the challenge.

Of course, Chris and Joe have not had a lot of luck in this type match. In fact, they have lost to Dave and Matt 2 years in a row. Now Party Man Dan wants some of that Old Man ass kicking but he better bring a lunch because it is going to be a long hard fight.

We are playing out of state so maybe this is just what the doctor ordered for Chris and Joe to remind the youngsters that it is not their time yet. After all, Chris, Joe and Leon renewed their Man-Cards early this year by playing in the "Frozen Tundra Classic" where the temperatures were in the single digits and the wind gusts were over 40 MPH while the youngsters stayed home in their safe space.
