Week one of Broken Joe Golf was quite interesting. Joe T and Jake played for score the week before with some decent weather. Seven of us play in typical New England weather, cold and wet and the scores showed. In fact, three golfers failed to get all 18 holes in because of the “New England” weather last Sunday. Joe T is sitting in first place but we will have to see how it shakes out after Sunday.

This week the weather still isn’t looking good but play on we must. We will be playing on Sunday since it is supposed to be the better of the two bad days. This is the week to work out any issues you may have with your golf game because the 1st Major (The Pretenders) is just 2 weeks away (May 20/21). Don’t forget to bring your $1.00 (cash) on Sunday unless you are paid in full for the year.

Leon is still out on a medical waiver but we might see him Sunday morning…maybe.

I heard that Ray, Bryan and Matt T are out this week. Could they be looking for better weather, only the “Shadow” knows. Please note that you will only have until next Sunday evening (8pm) to get these (completed) scores in to me.

On a side note, we are almost 30 days into the 2017 Broken Joe Golf season and we still have people who have not paid their money. This is the last week to turn in the $25.00 fee in order to be part of the league. I am too old to chase everyone and still remember who did what. I’ll understand if the daunting schedule is too much for you. There is no shame in saying that Broken Joe Golf just isn’t for you. I’ll understand and you can still play with us as long as we have an opening. I just need to know and you can tell me by giving me money (or not).
