In honor of the "The Players", we will host "The Pretenders"
Leon – I would have said that Leon was pretending to be Tom Watson but Tom still plays golf so I’ll have to change Leon to Gary Player even though Gary is in better shape physically.

Chris – I would have said that Chris is pretending to be Sergio Garcia but Sergio finally won a Major (The Masters) in early April. That means Chris, as the best golfer at Broken Joe to not win a Major, is pretending to be Henrik Stenson. Henrik is the “new” best golfer in the PGA to not win a Major. Chris has not won a Major yet but he is a two time Florida International Champion and a 3 Club Challenge Champion. Chris is just coming off a fantastic round of 86 so this could be his Major to win.

Eric – As one of the newest (and oldest) golfer at Broken Joe Golf, Eric is pretending to be Rob Oppenheim. Rob Oppenheim is the oldest rooking on the PGA tour.

Jake – As I started writing this post, I thought that Jake was the best golfer at Broken Joe without a Major but then I realized Jake doesn’t have a win at all… in 2 years. That means Jake is pretending to be Brendon De Jonge – the most-recent member to be saddled with the moniker “Best player without a Tour title.

“The Young Guns”
Dave – pretending to be Jordan Spieth

Dan – pretending to be Rory Mcllroy

Rock – pretending to be Adam Scott

Bryan – pretending to be Justin Day

Joe T – pretending to be Keegan Bradley

"The Bad Boys"
Ray – Ray was Broken Joe Golf’s 2016 Rookie of the Year so Ray is pretending to be Emiliano Grillo who was the 2016 PGA Rookie of the Year. Ray has new clubs and hopefully a new game to bring to this party

Matt T is pretending to be Curtis Luck. Curtis was the number one amateur to play in the 2017 Masters. Let’s see if Matt T is ready to turn Pro.

Matty Ice is pretending to be Steven Bowditch. Steven was the worst golfer on the PGA tour in 2016. Matty Ice isn't looking any better in 2017 with his latest score being 135.

And last but not least is Broken Joe. Broken Joe is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery inside a enigma. Joe shot a 94 at The Misters, a 110 at Franconia during Week One and then a 91 at Fraconia during Week Two, We will have to wait and see who Broken Joe is pretending to be….
I will send out a new post tomorrow with tee times and cart assignments.
