WEEK FOUR RESULTS

In week four, we had some good holes and some bad holes but we all left something on that course.

Ray played the weekend prior, Broken Joe and Matt T played on Saturday and the rest of the group played on Sunday. Ray played on Sunday to get his 5th score for handicap and Joe played again to save a little of his dignity.

Saturday was supposed to be the better of the two days but the sun refused to come out and surprisingly, the greens were fast. It was also a shot gun start so it did get a little slow but at least we started at 7am.

Sunday was supposed to cloudy, cool and probable rain. We didn’t see any of that, in fact, when I left the golf course it was sunny and dry with a temperature around 77 degrees. What we did see was more fast greens.

At the end of the weekend and with the smoke cleared, Bryan and Eric shoot par to tie for first place.

THE GOOD

Bryan makes an unbelievable come back shooting a 96, with a handicap score of 71 (Par). Last week Bryan shot a 116 and a handicap score of 91. Bryan is playing better golf.

THE BAD

With no real surprise, Dave shot in the high 80s but with his handicap he ended up with 3 over par 74.

Eric shot a 48 on the front but had some trouble on the back scoring a 57 (+9). Once Eric conquers the back 9 he will be a force to be reckoned with, maybe. He did manage to tie Dave with a 74.

Matt T shot a 110 with a handicap score of 75. Matt T played well and had it not been for a couple of lost balls and a "swing and a miss" he could have been up there with Bryan at even par. Matt T recorded his first birdie of the year at the 14th hole.

Chris played better than most by scoring a consistent 47 on the front and the back. His handicap score was 76 (+5). I thought that was pretty good considering how fast the greens but Chris and Dave are Florida International Champions where the greens are always fast.

THE UGLY

Jake tries to keep pace with Dave and Chris but he finds himself with an eleven on the 12th hole and finishes with a 99 and a handicap score of 81 (+10)

Dan manages to piece together a front 9 of 54 and a back 9 of 53 to finish with a handicap score of 81 and tying with Jake.

Joe played on Saturday for score with Matt T and scored a dismal 105 and a handicap score of 84 (+13). The driver was crap and the greens were surprisingly quick it made for long day. Joe played with Eric on Sunday but only managed to lower his score by 3 strokes so there was no dignity to be found this weekend. Funny enough Eric finished tied for 2nd and Matt T came in 4th, maybe I should be a caddie.

Joe T had his own trouble finishing the front with a 50. On the back, Joe finished the last 4 holes with a 10, 9, 3 and 7 and a final score of 106. His handicap score was 85 (+14).

Ray shot a 53 and a 57 to finish with a 110 and a handicap score of 86 (+15). Ray played on Sunday and scored a 99. Maybe Ray took my advised a got a lesson on how to hit those new clubs.

THE HORRIBLE

Matty Slush shot a 125 (63 & 61) which is about what he normal shoots but with the way he was carrying on about his shots you would have thought he had a 35 handicap instead of a 36. Matty’s handicap score was 89 (+18).

Rock had a bad day and it just kept getting worst as it went on. In the end, he finished with a 118 and a handicap score of 91 (+20). Rock insisted that it had to do with my choice of clothing but I respectfully disagree.
