Eric, I understand that it does feel like double jeopardy but handicaps are based on potential. I may not have your score card so I do not know what your adjusted score is but I do understand from Dave’s text that your score was 96.

Again, while it could not be certified, it is hard for me to knowingly give you back a 31 handicap when we both know it should be at least 27.

While I believe that your new handicap should be 27, I also believe that there could be a case for double jeopardy, which as the Commissioner, I am ok with that.

I feel that this decision could go either way so I will send it to the Competition Committee for their ruling.

If they think your handicap should be 31 and not 27 and they are willing to give you that clear advantage at the “American Freedom Open” then that will be their decision , but they had well be ready to play better golf.

The Competition Committee should have a ruling by Friday, just in time for our next Major.
