A couple of weeks ago Chris and I were talking about handicaps (what else is new). He wanted me to look at just the 2017 Franconia scores in order to put everyone on the same playing field.

If you recall, I had given the “Great Eight” (original members) their handicaps by taking their 5 best actual scores of 2016.

This was so that we did not have to wait 5 rounds (10 weeks) to get handicaps for the 2017 Broken Joe Golf season.

The plan for the “New Kids on the Block” was that they would need to have 5 rounds in BEFORE the start of our golf season.

Of course Mother Nature wasn’t having any of that so I had to piecemeal their handicaps together.

Now that we have 7 weeks under our belt in 2017 and we are playing the same golf course, it is time to adjust the handicaps so that we are on a consistent handicap level (or as close as possible).

Each golfer will alternate shots starting at the Tee Box. First Golfer will always tee off on the odd number holes while the Second Golfer will always tee off on the even number holes. After the tee shot you will alternate shots until the golf ball goes into the cup, to include any lost tee shots.
