Rock and Joe T went to the CT Golf Expo on Saturday, March 24th but it was family day so they had to wait behind the 300 other attendees before they could give up their $14.00.
Chris, Dan, Dave, John, and Joe went on Sunday and there was a lot fewer people at 9:30. Truth be told we should have gotten there right at 9am but between trying to figure out who was doing what and getting lost 3 blocks from the Ct Convention Center we were a little late.
Initially, Dave and Chris were looking for new clubs while John needed to find a Pitching Wedge and a Putter. Matty Ice had borrowed John's clubs could not remember where he left John’s two very important golf clubs. In the end, John was the only one to buy clubs. The pitching wedge has seen better days but so has John. I thought he got a great putter for $20, hell, I almost bought it myself.

The first competition we tried was the chipping into the holes. Joe won this event and received a free ticket to The Travels Championship in Cromwell, CT in June.

Next was the 50-foot putt. Dave was the only one of us to sink the putt. Unfortunately, we were not waiting until 2 pm for the Championship round.

Last but not least, the closest to the pin completion on the golf simulator. Dave once again showed that he was the MAN by getting within 17 feet with Joe coming in 2nd at 36 feet. Chris was short or left and Dan was short and then long. John decided to skip this completion and instead buy some Kmart special golf balls for $10 a box.

We decided to end the day with one more drink at Christopher’s sports bar around 1:00. I finally got home at 5:00 but I thought it was a great day. Hopefully all of us can attend the 2019 CT Golf Expo on the same day.
I know you don’t want to talk about money but…
Joe T. Rey, Chris, Joe, Dan, Dave, and Bryan are paid. John paid me $80.00 on Sunday but it was still Sunday so he owes Broken Joe Golf another $10.00. Sorry Charlie but only the freshest tuna gets to be Starkist.

So that leaves Rock, Eric, Matty Ice, and Eric still left to pay. The price is now $90 between now and Saturday, March 31st and then the price goes up again. From April 1st through April 7th the price is $100. On April 8th (prior to the tee time) the cost is $120.
Don’t get me wrong but I am kind of glad that not everyone paid on time because I forgot to include shipping and tax for the price of the Trophies.
