It took Jake all of the 5 rounds to defeat Chris for the “Championship of the World”. Chris had his chances but it just wasn’t meant to be. In a surprise twist, Adams went 3 rounds for the Championship before he was ousted. Joe, Dave, and Dan didn’t make the cut. We also had a guest player, Kyle, Joe’s soon to be son in law. Bryan, Joe T, Jon, and Rock did not play.

Because of the heat I bought Gatoraid and a 30 pack of the Red, White and Blue, that's right, I brought PBR (Pabst Blue Ribbon). Believe me when I tell you, none of it went to waste.

Group One was Adam, Dan, and Jake and they started at the first tee. Group Two was Chris, Dave, Joe, and Kyle. Group Two started on the 12 hole.

Front Nine:

Dave – 28

Joe – 29

Chris – 31

Jake – 32

Adam – 34

Dan – 38

Dave and Joe each get a birdie on the front. Jake gets a 5, Adam gets two 5s and Dan gets two 5s and a 6.

Back Nine:

Joe – 30

Dave – 32

Chris – 35

Jake – 37

Dan – 38

Adam – 49

Joe grabs another birdie. Chris starts to fall apart at the end with two 5 s and a 6 on holes 15, 16 and 17. Jake has the same problems but it is on holes 14, 15 and 17. Dan runs a 5, 6 and 5 on holes 14, 15 and 17. Adam’s wheels come off starting with the 13th hole where he goes 6, 9, 7, 6, 6.

18th Hole- Championship of the World.

Group One goes first. Jake and Adam get a 3 and Dan gets a 4. Dan is out. Group Two goes next and none of us are on the green. Chris is the only one from Group Two that can shoot par while the rest of us shoot 4. Dave and Joe are out.

For the first two rounds, Adam, Chris and Jake tie. Adam cannot keep pace and drops in the 3rd round. Chris has a makeable birdie putt but leave it short and allows Jake to tie.

Round five:

Chris is short and Jake is left. Chris leaves his chip shot short while Jake makes a nice chip shot close to the cup. Chris needs this putt for 3 but it was not to be and he finishes with bogey. Jake makes his par putt to become the “Champion of the World”.

While Joe did fail at the "Championship of the World" he did beat Dave by one stroke on his home course.

Final Scores:

Joe – 59

Dave – 60

Jake – 69

Dan – 76
