Joe wins the American Freedom Cup for the 2nd time in 3 years.

What started out as a wet day ended up being a very hot and humid day for the men of Broken Joe Golf.

Some us were able to get in some practice rounds but Chris had the most. He was on vacation and visited Vets at least 5 times.

The Front Nine:

There were a total of 18 pars on the front nine which I thought was pretty impressive.

The scores were tight through the front with just 6 strokes separating the first 8 golfers. Adam played well scoring a 59 with two 8s and a 9. Jon brings up the rear with a 9 and two 10s. As a group, we had an average score of 50.4

The back nine was not as impressive as the front with only 7 pars but we did have a birdie. As a group, we averaged a score of 55.5.

This is Joe’s second Major win this season. Dan is the only other two-time winner this year but they have been from the yellows. Dan may have turned the corner with his 2nd place showing and he played from the white.

Joe is also the first golfer to shoot in the 80s this year. Chris, Dave and Jake have been close with 90s and Bryan had a 91.

Chris brought water and a 30 pack of Mich Ultra to celebrate our 3rd Major and his older brother's victory. We also had a surprise visit from Rey Rey.
