Oak Ridge Country Club is the location for Round Two of the BJG FedUp Cup. Remember, it is a 7:30 shotgun start on Sunday Sept 2nd, 2018.
“Oak Ridge Golf Club is a public championship golf course and banquet house. The club has been owned by the Strycharz family since 1977, providing impeccable service and a beautiful facility to accommodate your special occasions and functions. The 18-hole championship golf course at the Oak Ridge Golf Club facility in Feeding Hills, Massachusetts features 6,702 yards of golf for a par of 70.”
We have gone from Hickory Ridge to Oak Ridge and for 2 of us, it will be Heartbreak Ridge after this round.
At the end of the regular season, the Broken Joe Golf Leaderboard looked like this:
1st – Dave
2nd – Joe
3rd – Jake
4th – Chris
5th – Rock
6th – Bryan
7th – Dan
8th – Joe T
9th – Adam
10th – Jon
After the first round of the FedUp Cup things are looking a little different. Here are the BJG FedUp Cup projections:
Fed Up Cup Projections:
1st – Jake
2nd – Chris
3rd – Joe
4th – Rock
5th – Dan
6th – Joe T
OUT
7th – Adam
8th – Jon
9th – Dave and Bryan
Jake has been playing some very strong golf over the last 3 rounds but we did start to see a crack in his armor (driver).
Chris has made a kind of come back after starting the year well and then kind of falling off the pace through the middle of the year but he did finish second last week beating Joe by 3 strokes. By comparison, Joe started the year of slow and the played well through the middle and is now having his own trouble. Joe did beat Chris by 4 strokes at the BJG Championship so this will be a big test for both golfers.
Rock has been playing well. He tied Chris at the BJG Championship and was on stroke behind Joe last week.
Dan was thoroughly beaten by Joe T at the BJG Championship, in fact Dan had all he could handle from Adam. With that said BJG Championship was a double round and Joe T has not played good golf this year. Last week Joe T beat Dan outright 111 to Dan’s 113 but with Dan’s handicap, Dan won with a score of 110 to Joe T’s 111.
This is going to be very interesting to see who can hold on and who is going to miss the cut and join Dave, Bryan, Adam and Jon on the sidelines.
Using my old age as an excuse, I forgot to mention in my last post that Jake had won both the “Longest Drive” AND “Closest to the Pin”.
This week’s “Closest to the Pin” will be the par 3, 13th Hole and the “Longest Drive” will be the Par 4, 18th Hole.
Group One:
Cart 1: Chris and Dan
Cart 2: Joe T
Group Two:
Cart 3: Joe & Jake
Cart 4: Rock
Last but not least, I need to know if Dave, Bryan, Adam and Jon are planning to play this Sunday at Oak Ridge. If not I will cancel the 3rd tee time.
