“The Misters” is our version of “The Masters” and is also our first golf Major of the year. This first Major is worth a total of 600 Fed Up Cup points.

Last year at “the Misters,” Mister Bryan shocked the world by shooting a 91 during a cold and windy day at St Annes, but this year we will be playing at Franconia.

Franconia, like Augusta National, has its own “Amen Corner.” At Franconia, that would be the par 5, 12th Hole (double water and island hole), the par 4, 13th hole (tee shot is uphill and through a narrow gap) and the par 3, 14th hole (elevated tee box with a small steep green). If you can get through that unscathed, then you have a pretty good shot at winning.

"The Misters" will be played at Franconia Golf Course on May 5th. There is a lot of things going this weekend such as the Kentucky Derby on Saturday, and on Sunday it is Cinco de Mayo.

On Sunday, April 14, 2019, Tiger Woods won the 2019 Masters Tournament, his first major championship win since 2008 and his 15th major overall. He finished 13 under par to win by one stroke over Dustin Johnson, Xander Schauffele and Brooks Koepka, becoming, at age 43, the second oldest golfer ever to win the Masters tournament, after Jack Nicklaus's triumph in 1986 at age 46.

This Master’s win would come 22 years after his first Masters' win and 14 years after his last Master’s win.

In honor of this accomplishment, I will be wearing a red golf shirt on Sunday just like Tiger. Who knows, maybe it will help me get through holes 12, 13 and 14.

And as is the tradition at the Masters, the winner of "the Misters" will be awarded their own green jacket, just like Bryn did last year. And of course, there is a nice trophy to hold on to for a year.
