The 2022 BJG Winter meeting is on Sunday, March 27th at the Hampton Inn at 20 Phoenix Ave, Enfield, CT 06082. We will also be hosting our first-ever, live BJG Award Ceremony.

The cost of this event is $10.00 per person, and will that fee will be paid to Dan once you arrive. Please make sure you pay Dan so we can pay for the meeting room. Please do not forget to bring cash or plan alternate arrangements with Dan before Sunday, March 27th. This event is also worth 5 BJG points, and yes, you will still owe the $10.00 fee if for some reason you do not show up.

Schedule:

11:30 to 12:00 – Cocktail Half Hour

12:00 – 12:45 – BJG 2021 Awards presentation

12:45 – 1:30 – Lunch

1:30 - 3:00 – BJG Winter Meeting

1:30 – 2:00: Commissioner will start with the opening remark, Handicaps, and a recap of the “National Golf League”

2:00 – 2:30: Cody will cover the 2022 BJG Rules

2:30 – 3:00: BREAK (Cake) and each Division will discuss division handicaps

3:00 – 3:15: Joe Willie will cover the Schedule, Tee Times, Closest to Pin and Longest Drive

3:15 – 3:30: Wrap Up and

3:30 - 4:00: Final Social Half Hour

Coordinating Instructions:

1. Be flexible and patient. This double meeting will be the first time we have undertaken this kind of event. While we have tried to put all of the pieces in place, there may be some unexpected issues

2. Do not be a “Karen or a “Richard.” Most of the information that will be covered at this meeting has already come out in the blog, so do not be shocked and dismayed when we bring it up again. It is not my fault that you did not read the blog.

3. I want you to ask questions. While we have tried to cover all our bases for the 2022 BJG season, we may have missed something. We will do our best to answer your questions but please do not continue to ask the same question because you do not like the answer. That ship has sailed for 2022, but you can (quietly) start your campaign to be the Commissioner in 2023 and steer the league in a different direction.

4. BJG will provide lunch (pizza), paper plates, plastic utensils, and napkins. You will bring what you want to drink but remember, this is not your bachelor party.

5. Do not be late.

6. Bring $10.00 cash

7. Clean up after yourself

8. Be respectful and supportive of the BJG committee and your fellow golfers.

As a reminder, 2022 BJG Fees are due to Dan no later than Saturday, April 9th, 2022. I am sure that Dan does not want to have to chase you and your money on our opening day. The 2022 BJG Fee is $60.00 for current members and $80.00 for new members. Yes, Dan will take your 2022 BJG Fees at the Winter Meeting.

If you have not paid your BJG Fee but Saturday, April 9th, add a $10.00 penalty per week until that fee is paid. If you still have not paid your BJG Fee by May 15th (and the additional $60.00 in penalties) you will no longer be a 2022 BJG member.

Note: if you are in the “Fanduel March Madness League,” do not forget to bring $20 for your bracket.

Our 2022 BJG season is about to begin. Let us have some fun, hand out the 2021 BJG awards, eat pizza, have a drink, celebrity our fellow Golfer's accomplishments, and cover the bases for the 2022 BJG season.

Do not forget to "dress to impress" in your best golf attire as I will have a prize for the winner.

Two weeks after this meeting, we will be outside, hitting that little ball into that little hole, hoping not to hear the word “she’s gone” or “that’s unfortunate.”
