With the 2020 BJG season being shortened because of COVID, the 2021 BJG season is going to feel looonnnnggggg.

We start with the BJG Winter Meeting near St Patty’s Day, but we will probably still be social distancing so… Maybe we can get all of the work done upfront within the committees and then, depending on the weather, have a quick outside meeting. Does anyone want to volunteer their yard? Dan and Bryan still have not responded to the 5 iron question, so we could just show up at their house.

We start the season off just a little early, but that helps us match the BJG schedule with the PGA’s "Masters" and the "Travelers" schedule. Of course, the last Sunday in March could be tricky because of the weather.

One of the things I would like to do to help bring back camaraderie is to play the Majors on a Saturday and then have an outdoor BBQ after the round. Just a thought but, we would need some volunteer “hosts”.

You will notice that the golf courses where we play a Major, we also play that same golf course the round prior. This way you kind of have a practice round and it cuts down on the amount of different course we will play in 2021.

I have brought back the "3 Club Challenge" just to make one of our rounds a little different, plus I don't need to buy that trophy.

We have some new tournaments, which are "The Rosey Palmer Invitational", "The Time Travelers", and the "Quest of Valhalla". I have trophies for 2 of these events, but we will need one more.

I want to make the final Major harder but not too hard. The BJG Championship used to be a double round, but that was hard to set up, and 36 holes in August sucks. What about 27 holes or a Saturday / Sunday event? Maybe the Scheduling Committee can find a challenging golf course. These are just more of my suggestions for the committee to deal with.

The first round of the Fed Up Cup is scheduled for Labor Day, sorry but that is just the way the schedule worked out. Please plan accordingly.

And, last but not least, The Winter Classic Championship is currently scheduled for Saturday, October 30th, because Sunday is Halloween.
