This week’s round was supposed to be the 3 Club Challenge: but as usual, there were some complaints.
As a fair and just Commissioner, I looked at the Leaderboard, and thought about what kind of “practice” round we would get at Franconia if we played the “3 Club Challenge”. Don’t get me wrong, I still believe in the “3 Club Challenge”, it just cannot come as the next to last event of the regular season, and just before the BJG Championship. This year has been too good to leave it to the fate of the “3 Club Challenge”.

As I looked at the Leaderboard, I saw some real signs of commitment and competition, I knew we would need an event this late in the season that would also serve as a practice round at Franconia. That event is the “Victory or Valhalla”.

Victory or Valhalla basically means there are two outcomes in a battle for the Norse. That was to emerge victorious with the battle won or to die in said battle honorably with a weapon (golf club) in hand which was the only way to go to Valhalla, the warrior's paradise/afterlife.

Next year this event will be set up by “Handicap Groups”, but this year it is just a regular round with random groups and will serve as a practice round for our final Major.
Total points for this event are 210 with 20 points going to first place, and a lonely 1 point going to last.

Tim's new BJG handicap is plus 10, and he now becomes the number 2 handicap Golfer at BJG.
Dustin, Dan, Matt T and Joe T will not be playing this week which means more points for the rest of us.
