The 2023 Race to Big Y (Dubai) was mainly a two-man race once we abandoned the Divisions.

With Adam winning the Misters, the score was Adam 34 and Cody 26.5. Adam was up by 7.5 points.

After the Pretenders, it was Cody 50 and Adam 49.5. Cody was up by 0.5 points.

After the Woods Shootout, it was Adam 62 and Cody 61.5. Adam was up by 0.5 points.

After our 2nd Major, The Fathers and Uncles Invitational, it was Cody 94.5 and Adam 87. Cody was up by 7.5 Points

After Adams shows up and wins the Championship of the World, it is Cody 111.5 and Adam 109. Cody is up by just 2.5 points.

After the Time Travelers, it is Cody 117.5 and Adam 112. Cody is up by 5.5 points.

After our 3rd Major, the American Freedom Open, it is Cody 150.5 and Adam 136.5. Cody is up by 13.5 points, and it is the largest lead of the season.

After the Victory or Valhalla, it is Cody 158.5 and Adam 143.5. Cody is now up by 15 points.

Just before the BJG Championship, and after Alex withdrew, the Leaderboard looked like this:

1st - Cody – 158.5

2nd - Adam – 143.5

3rd - Jason – 117.5

4th - EJ – 112.5

5th - Joe – 88

6th - Dustin 79

7th - Joe T – 78

8th - Cam – 37

The BJG Championship has the most points offered, so Adam still had a chance, even if he had not been playing his best golf lately. Adam was just 15 points back. Adam would need to win, and Cody would need to finish 4th.

But by the end of the BJG Championship, Cody had finished tied for 2nd which would give him enough points to secure his Race to Big Y (Dubai) conquest. Adam finishes a disappointing 6th. This would be Cody’s 2nd Race to Big Y win (2019).

In a surprise move that I had not seen coming, but probably should have, Jason wins the BJG Championship which gave him enough points to tie for 2nd with Adam for the Race to Big Y (Dubai). What a great way to finish the regular season.

The other big move was Dustin, who played very well at the BJG Championship, finishing tied for 2nd. In the final standings of the Race to Big Y (Dubai), Dustin went from 6th place to 5th place, while Joe fell from 5th place to 6th place.

Congratulations to Cody for winning the 2023 Race to Big Y (Dubai)
