To kick off our 12th season, we will play "Team Golf" in a scramble format. This will also act as a warm-up round after the long winter layoff.

The Pan Am: Pro-Am will be played on March 30th, 2025, at Rolling Meadows Country Club, 76 Sadds Mill Rd, Ellington, CT 06029.  According to their website, the cost is $60 with a cart

We will be playing from the WHITE Tee Boxes.

The current weather forecast for Sunday is mostly cloudy, with intermittent light rain. Low of 44F and a High of 56F. Winds SE at 9 mph. Chance of rain 40%.

The weather forecast isn't great, nor is it always accurate, so be prepared and have your Rain Gear and Cold Weather Gear. It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.  We will continue to monitor the weather, but if the course is open, we will play.

Rules:

1. The chosen ball does not move and is played as it lies.

2. The lie must be the same for each golfer on the team. If the chosen ball is on the fairway, all balls will be hit from the fairway. The same rule applies to the rough and sand traps.

3. All balls will be hit within one club of the chosen ball.

4. The chosen ball will be hit last.

5. Points will be based on the Group's final score.

6. All Broken Joe Golf rules are in effect.

7. All putts must be finished and in the hole.

Points:

1st Place: 7 points for each Player in that Group

2nd Place: 5 points for each Player in that Group

3rd Place: 3 points for each Player in that Group

5th Place: 1 point for each Player in that Group

The Closest to the Pin Competitions: 

Everyone will have a chance to win. The tape measure and paper will be next to the orange flag. Group One will drop off the equipment, and Group Four will return the equipment and the measurements to Joe T. Alex will bring $40 cash to pay the winners.

FRONT: Hole 3 - Par 3 - 166 Yards If every member of the Team puts a ball into the water, they can move to the BJG Drop Zone with a one-stroke penalty. The BJG Drop Zone will be between the sand trap on the right and the cart path (Circle).

BACK: Hole 13 - Par 3 - 163 Yards.

Again, Measure from the Flag (not the start of the hole) to the ball.

We have all 16 golfers participating in this year's "Closest to the Pin" competition. The cost is $25, payable to Alex in cash at the Pan Am or via Venmo before the Event.
