2026 BJG Winter Classic Championship

THE END OF THE LINE?
Yes, you can feel the weather starting to change. In fact, we've already experienced our first frost delay of the season.
Yes, Winter is Coming

Once again, this could be the last Winter Classic Championship at Broken Joe Golf. Or maybe we just need to consider a more flexible date going forward.
During the early years of Broken Joe Golf, the Winter Classic Championship WAS our annual championship! But over the last few years, participation has continued to decline, and let's face it, those frost delays can be brutal.
The Winter Classic Championship (WCC) is our oldest event, dating back to 2012, and was once considered our most prestigious championship, especially by those who had never won it.
There's a lot of history behind this event, and it would be a shame to see it disappear.
But for now, the Winter Classic Championship remains the final BJG golf event of the 2026 season and your last chance at victory!
It's also your final opportunity to make a statement about why you deserve to be a 2026 BJG Award winner, or perhaps even the 2026 BJG Golfer of the Year.
A Look Back at Our Winter Classic Champions
2012 – Dave C
2013 – Dave C
2014 – Joe C
2015 – Matt B
2016 – Dan C
2017 – Rock T
2018 – Joe C
2019 – Rey R
2020 – Rey R
2021 – Joe C
2022 – Joe C
2023 – EJ
2024 – Joe C
2025 – Iron Mike
Iron Mike would have been looking to defend his title and become a back-to-back Winter Classic Champion, but he is OUT, along with Adam, EJ, Joe A, Joe T, Joe V, and Rob.
That leaves the door open for someone else to make a little BJG history.
Joe will be looking for his SIXTH Winter Classic Championship, adding to his record as the event's most successful golfer.

Rey will be looking for his THIRD Winter Classic Championship, which would put him alone in second place on the all-time winners list.

Or could we see a brand-new champion?
Maybe JT, who understands that this is his last opportunity for glory in 2026.
Or perhaps someone else will step up and finish the season with a championship victory.
One thing is certain: Someone will be our final champion of 2026!
The Course – St. Anne Country Club
This year's Winter Classic Championship will be played at St. Anne Country Club, 781 Shoemaker Lane, Feeding Hills, MA 01030.
YES, WE ARE FINALLY PLAYING AT ST. ANNE!
After several attempts to get St. Anne on our schedule, we're finally making it happen.
St. Anne only had early or late tee times available. I chose the early tee times because of the weather and the shorter days this time of year.
Hopefully, Mother Nature cooperates and we can avoid another lengthy frost delay.

One Last Round
We've played a lot of golf in 2026. We've had our share of great shots, bad shots, unexpected winners, memorable moments, and, of course, a few questionable decisions.
Now we're down to one final event.
Whether this turns out to be the last Winter Classic Championship or simply another chapter in its history, I hope everyone enjoys the opportunity to get together for one more round.
Good luck to everyone, and I'll see you all on Sunday.
Respectfully,
Broken Joe
Commissioner
