EJ Saves His Best for Last — 2026 BJG Tour Champion

The day had finally arrived when we would crown our 2026 BJG Fed Up Cup Tour Champion.

Each of our four competitors took a different path to get here, but none of that mattered anymore.

THIS IS WHERE THE BEST BELONG.

The day started out a little cold, but the course looked to be in great condition and the Final Four were ready to go.

Playing behind the “Final Four” were Adam, Matt, Joe and Joe V. We had a front-row seat — well, maybe a 200-yard-back seat — to watch the championship unfold.

Front Nine

1st Place: EJ – 30 (42)

2nd Place: James – 35 (41)

3rd Place: Iron Mike – 39 (41)

4th Place: Magic Mike – 42 (47)

I don’t know if anyone saw this coming, but looking at the scorecard, maybe they should have.

EJ had TWO birdies on the front nine.

Things were not looking good for the other three golfers.

Hell, if you looked only at the actual scores, EJ’s 42 was just one stroke behind James and Iron Mike, who both shot 41.

Of course, we all know EJ can only play nine holes well, so obviously he decided it was going to be the front nine.

More importantly, EJ had already built a five-stroke lead over James. That meant everyone was going to have to start taking some chances if they wanted any hope of catching him.

Playing behind the Final Four, you could really feel — and even see — the tension.

The four of us in the group behind them were pretty happy we weren’t the ones dealing with that pressure. In fact, Adam had collected 23 lost balls that people decided that they no longer needed.

Back Nine

1st Place: EJ – 35 (47)

2nd Place: Iron Mike – 37 (40)

3rd Place: Magic Mike – 38 (44)

4th Place: James – 40 (47)

Well, I guess EJ had a good front AND back nine in him, much to the disappointment of the other three golfers.

The scores were closer on the back, but from where we were watching, the intensity seemed to increase by about 100%.

Nobody was giving anything away, but EJ wasn’t giving anyone an opening either.

Final Results

🏆 1st Place: EJ – 65 (89)

2nd Place: James – 75 (88)

3rd Place: Iron Mike – 76 (81)

4th Place: Magic Mike – 80 (91)

EJ IS OUR 2026 BJG FED UP CUP TOUR CHAMPION!

EJ put together an incredible round, shooting his lowest score ever and winning the Tour Championship by an incredible 10 strokes.

Talk about saving your best for when it matters most. And in EJ’s case, he literally saved his best for last.

EJ has decided to leave BJG after this season so he can spend more time with his wife and children. His final BJG event will be the Winter Classic, where he will arrive carrying his shiny new 22 handicap.

Not a bad way to go out: Having your lowest score ever to win the Tour Championship

Of course, EJ had been talking trash ever since making it to the Fed Up Cup Playoffs, telling me that if he won, he wanted ME to hand him the trophy.

Somehow, I don’t think he meant that in a touching father/son kind of way.

Unfortunately for me... He earned it. And I had to hand it to him.

One More Champion to Recognize

After the Tour Championship, we also honored Matt, our 2026 Race to Big Y (Dubai) Regular Season Champion.

Matt finally received his BIG CHECK along with his $50 Big Y Gift Card for finishing on top of the BJG regular-season standings. This Matt's second BIG CHECK in 3 Years.

Congratulations, Matt!

What’s Next?

Next on the BJG schedule is the Rider Cup, which will be played on October 18, 2026. More details on the Rider Cup will follow next week.

After that, we will have our last BJG round for the 2026 season, The Winter Classic Championship. The Winter Classic will be played on Nov 1st, 2026. The golf course depends on who is still open.

But for now, this weekend belongs to our two champions.

Congratulations to Matt, our 2026 Regular Season Champion.

And congratulations to EJ, our 2026 BJG Fed Up Cup Tour Champion.

Respectfully,

Broken Joe

Commissioner
