Adam IS the Champion of the World !!

I was the first to arrive at Pine Knoll. The gate was closed as expected, but I knew someone would open it around 8:45. Someone would take our money by 9 am.

Next, Jason, Alex, and EJ show up, followed by Cody.

Next thing we know, Adam comes pulling up out of nowhere.

I think we were all pretty much in shock, after all, Adam and Dustin were at a wedding in Sturbridge just a few hours earlier.

I knew at that moment that Adam would win the BJG Commitment Award, again.

Front Nine:

Group One is battling it out, trading 2s, 3s, 4s, and even 5s.

Adam is off to the races with his 2 birdies, and everyone else in Group Two is just trying to hold on.

Front Nine Scores:

Adam did not just show up for his points, Adam came for the BELT.

Back Nine:

Now it’s getting hot. Not like July, but it is much hotter than anyone expected.

In Group One, Cody and Joe T continue to battle while Joe starts to fall apart.

In Group Two, Jason starts to put things together with the longer distances.

Following a 7 on the 13th Hole, Adam scores an incredible HOLE IN ONE on the 14th Hole.

WOW, not only is Adam committed, he is competitive!

I believe that this is the FIRST Hole In One in BJG's 10-year history.

EJ and Alex are just trying to make it through the day.

18th Hole:

Group One: Cody lands on the green. Joe T & Joe are off the green. Joe tries to chip on, but he yips it hard right, and with a 2 putt, he has a 4. Joe T chips on and waits for Cody to sink the birdie putt, but it was not meant to be.

This is how close Cody was to being the 2023 COTW.

Cody has two putts for 3. Joe T sinks his 2-foot putt to earn him on 3.

In Group 2, No one hits the green. Jason chips on and 2 putts for 4. Alex and EJ take 3 shots to get on the green, and then they 2 putt. Adam is off the green to the right, but he chips on close and sinks his putt for 3.

Adam, Cody, and Joe T are heading back to the 18th tee box to do it again.

Round 2:

Cody is on the green. Joe T is long. Adam is just off the right side. Joe T chips on. Adam goes next and chips INTO THE HOLE FOR THE BIRDIE. Cody has a chance to tie, but once again, his putter lets him down.

ADAM is the 2023 CHAMPION OF THE WORLD.

Adam also has the Lowest Score and wins the Championship of the World trophy.

Adam not only wins the Belt and the Trophy, but he grabs 2 extra points as the COTW and 1 extra point as the lowest score. And of course, let’s not forget about Adam’s HOLE IN ONE !!!

Joe remains in 7th, but Joe T has closed the gap to 3 points

Cam remains in last place with just 4 rounds remaining.

Adam is the Man on Fire.

Adam has won the Misters (Major), The Woods Shootout, and now, the Championship of the World.

Next on the schedule is the Time Travelers which is scheduled to be played on 6/25/23 at Airways Golf Course.

After back-to-back weeks, it’s time to take a breather and enjoy the weekend.

It's time to take it easy and enjoy time at home with the family.
