Yes, I know this blog post is more than a week overdue, but I needed to post about the new Golfers and continue to work on the Winter Meeting issues.
I will resend an updated Winter Meeting post on Wednesday.
Introduction: The 2nd round of the 2025 BJG Pre-Season Tournament was exciting, with 8 golfers competing in an intense match. After some last-minute adjustments to the player list, the event kicked off without a warm-up, which definitely impacted some players' performances. But despite the rushed start, the game was full of memorable moments and stellar plays.
Group One:
The First Group was composed of:
Adam
Eric
Joe
EJ
Performance Highlights:
Adam: Adam was in top form, consistently crushing the ball and driving the green on any hole under 320 yards. His power off the tee gave him a significant advantage on the course.
EJ: Unfortunately, EJ faced challenges early on, with out-of-bounds shots and the thick, high grass causing trouble. Despite the setbacks, he kept pushing through.
Eric: Eric’s smooth swing impressed everyone, and his ability to hit different shots with his 5-wood was especially remarkable.
Joe: After a rough start, Joe managed to settle down and play his way into a solid rhythm, with strong (high) drivers and good wedge shots.
Group Two:
The Second Group featured:
Mike
JT
Stephen
Alex
Performance Highlights:
Mike: Mike was hitting the ball hard and making great strides on each hole.
Alex: Alex’s shots were shorter but precise, and his ability to play consistently and avoid major mistakes helped him maintain a strong position.
JT: JT was enjoying the day, swinging the club and keeping up with the competition.
Stephen: Stephen struggled to keep his shots on the green, often rolling off the edges. He’ll be looking to fine-tune his golf simulator short game in future tournaments.
Final Score (9 Holes):
1st Place: Alex – 28 (46)
2nd Place: Adam – 29 (33)
3rd Place: JT – 30 (38)
4th Place: Joe – 33 (46)
5th Place: Mike – 38 (43)
5th Place: Stephen – 38 (49)
7th Place: Eric – 42 (50)
8th Place: EJ – 44 (61)
Closing Thoughts:
Just like in 2022, Alex proved that his winning formula was to play his own game and minimize mistakes. Despite Adam playing an incredible round, going 3 under par, Alex still managed to clinch the win by just one stroke—showing how crucial it is to play better golf when it counts.
It was also a great opportunity for some of the members to meet Eric and Alex before the Winter Meetings. Overall, a tournament full of great performances, a few challenges, and plenty of fun moments!

Respectfully,
