BJG presents, The 2021 President's Cup

You can feel that the end of the 2021 BJG season is coming to an end. The trees are changing colors, the temperature is getting cooler, tee times are getting harder to come by, and we have our next to last event of the year, "The President's Cup".

Match ONE: Match Play:

(Team Cody) Jon vs EJ (Team Joe)

Jon vs EJ is an excellent matchup.

While Jon had some early success with his high handicap, he has not played golf in a while, and his handicap went from 28 to 16.

EJ also saw his handicap go down after winning the first round of the FedUp Cup, moving from 29 to 18. EJ has been practicing, but so far, everything has been going right.

EJ gets one stroke at the two hardest holes.

Match TWO: 3 Club Challenge,

(Team Cody) Juan vs Dustin. (Team Joe)

Dustin’s handicap sucks, but maybe limiting Juan to just 3 clubs will help even everything out.

Dustin will need to play in the fairway if he hopes to beat Juan. But if Juan gets hot like he did last year at the Broken Joe Golf Championship then Dustin could be in trouble.

Dustin will get 4 strokes to get him moving in the right direction.

Match THREE: Alternate Shots:

(Team Cody) Cody & Dan vs Rey & Joe (Team Joe)

This should be an interesting match.

Cody is usually long and straight, but Dan will need to carry his own play to help Team Cody take this point.

Meanwhile, Rey & Joe will need to be in sync to have a chance for this win. With Rey’s new +6 handicap this match is even.

Match FOUR: 2 Man Scramble:

(Team Cody) Dave & Matty Ice vs Joe T & Adam (Team Joe)

Dave & Matty Ice had teamed up before when we used to have “Grudge Matches”. In all three Grudge Matches, Dave & Matty Ice defeated Joe & Chris.

On the other side, Joe T and Adam finished the 2021 BJG FedUp Cup in 1st and 2nd place.

We were supposed to play at Chicopee CC but they have an event. I called a few other places but they either had an event or late tee times (after 11 am).
