 Edgewood is out, and Agawam is in.

EJ called Edgewood on Friday, but the guy on the phone said he thought they were having a tournament on the 19th and that he should call back on Sunday.

After some discussion, we decided to call Agawam Municipal Golf Course. Of course, Agawam said they were also having a small tournament but still gave us three 9 a.m. tee times. I was a little nervous because if their tournament start time was earlier than 1:30 p.m., we could have a problem.

I really didn’t want to change the schedule, so I called Edgewood on Sunday. The guy answering the phone said they were having a tournament on Sunday, but they had a public shotgun at 7:30 am….

Again, after some thought, I figured we should go with Edgewood and the 7:30 shotgun start.  Yes, it was earlier, but we could be done early, and I would not have to change the schedule.

I called Edgewood around 8:30 a.m. on Monday to secure three tee times. The guy answering the phone seemed a little off. He said their Shot Gun started at noon, but he can get me a tee time for 7:30… I said, “Three Tee Times,” and he said, “Sure, I can work that out.”

Now I really am scared.  I had EJ call Franconia, but they didn’t have anything before 11:20…

I have decided to proceed with The Woods Shootout being played at Agawam Municipal Golf Course in Agawam, and I have moved Edgewood to The Quest of Valhalla on July 28th, 2024.

The regularly scheduled blog post should be out tomorrow.
