New Golfers Join the BJG Ranks for 2025!

The 2025 BJG season just got a whole lot more exciting! While we initially had 12 committed golfers, a few exciting new additions have led us to shake things up and make some significant changes to the league lineup.

I had two golfers express interest in joining the 2025 BJG season, but I hesitated to bring in a 13th or 14th player. While the numbers felt just right for the current roster, I do think that having 15 or 16 players could strengthen the league, making it deeper and more competitive overall. A slightly larger group would give us a stronger membership base.

Here’s the scoop on the latest golfers joining the BJG family:

  1. Alex – The Return of a Champion

The 2022 BJG FedUp Cup Champion, Alex, is back! After a brief break, Alex is stepping into the competition again. With a proven track record, he’s ready to make his mark and could potentially defend his old title. We’ll see if he can reclaim the crown—watch out for this fierce return!

  1. Rachelle – Adam's Other Half

Rachelle, Adam’s fiancée, is joining the league this year! As BJG's first female golfer, this is a milestone for the league. We’re thrilled to have her on board, and seeing the energy and competition she brings will be exciting. Plus, it looks like Adam will have a new commuting partner for the season, saving them some gas money!

  1. Eric – A Newcomer to the BJG Family

Eric, who recently relocated from Maine to Connecticut, is a new addition to BJG. Though he’s only been golfing since 2020, Eric’s passion for the game is clear. It’ll be great to see how this relatively new golfer fares in his debut season with BJG!

  1. Mike J – The Season's Final Golfer

Mike J is officially the 16th and final golfer for the 2025 BJG season. With plenty of experience in Southern CT golf leagues, including a leadership role in one of them, Mike is no stranger to competitive play. Although he’s familiar with many of the golf courses on the schedule, he has not played them yet. Mike’s goals are simple – He wants to play golf and I think we can help him with that!

With these three new additions, the race for the 2025 BJG Rookie of the Year is heating up! It's clear that this year’s competition will be intense, and I can’t wait to see how the rookies and seasoned pros alike make their mark on the course.

What’s Coming Up?

We’re putting the final touches on the 2024 BJG Awards and the 2025 BJG Winter Meeting, which are just 10 days away!

With only 31 days until the season kicks off, I’ll also finalize the details for the 2025 BJG Playoffs and present those plans during the Winter Meeting.

Stay tuned for more updates as we prepare for BJG's 12 season!

Respectfully,
