Well, here we are with more “Breaking News” and the latest golf course change.
Mother Nature - 3, BJG Schedule – 0.
As you know, The Chubby Classic will now be played at St Annes on Sunday, April 23rd, 2023. I just wanted to make it "official".
The Closest to the Pins competitions at St Annes will be on the 3rd Hole, (Par 3, 138 yards) and the 11th Hole (Par 3, 131 yards). EJ don't forgot to bring the equipment to Group One.
Group One: 10:49
Cart One: Cody & Cam
Cart Two: Jason & Alex
Group Two: 10:56
Cart Three: Adam & Dustin
Cart Four: Joe & EJ
Because of the late start, Bryan is out, and we will now see him 2 weeks from now.
Good thing I have a picture of Bryan, we might forget what he looks like.

There will be plugged balls and standing water issues, so the Rules Director (Cody) has implemented a temporary BJG “lift, clean, and replace” rule for play at The Chubby Classic.

“The PGA of America is taking the unusual step of playing preferred lies during the 4th round of the PGA Championship due to the wet conditions at Baltusrol Golf Club.
Known as “lift, clean, and place", players are allowed to pick up their ball in closely mowed areas (fairways) in order to remove mud and find a suitable place in which to play. The player must first mark his ball, then place it within one club length of its original spot and can only do so once, as the ball is then in play.
You get a free drop if your ball is in the standing or temporary water. You also get a free drop from the temporary water if you're standing in the water. The lift, clean, and place” is not a “fluff your ball” rule.”
Our intent is for you to have a decent chance at hitting the ball and not damaging the golf course. Just remember, you cannot move closer to the hole.
I appreciate your commitment to compete in the bad weather conditions. This will also be a good chance to get some points with 3 golfers not playing.
It is going to be wet but let's not forget to have some fun. Hell, you can even laugh a little.

Respectfully,
Broken Joe
