Who would have thought that we would have temperatures in the 70s on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday in November?
Well, that would all change for Sunday at the 2022 BJG Winter Classic Championship.
Jake and Bryan called out. Dan was a no show but he did tell Rock and Joe T that he wasn't coming...

The temperature would fall throughout the morning, and there was a 100% chance of rain. The first rain came in around 6 am. The second rain came in hard around 8:40 am, good thing our tee times weren’t until 9:28 am.
At our first tee time, the temperature was 47 degrees, and the wind made it chilly.

Joe looked like a homeless guy with his trash bag full of extra dry, warm clothes,

Of course, no one can do a trash bag like Chris (2015).

And then Cody shows up in shorts as if he lives in Florida…

Around 10:30 the 3rd and final rain came in hard, but this is what the Winter Classic is all about.

Front Nine:
Joe – 46
Cody – 47
Rey – 48
Jason – 48
Rock – 49
Juan – 50
Adam – 52
Joe T – 52
Dustin – 54
Alex – 56
EJ – 63
On the back nine, the temperature starts to climb one degree at a time. By the time the 3rd group gets to the 18th hole, it is sunny with a temperature of 51. It may have only climbed 5 degrees, but boy, the sun felt good.
Back Nine:
Rey – 42
Joe – 43
Cody – 45
Jason – 47
Adam – 48
Joe T – 49
Juan – 51
Rock 52
Alex – 52
Dustin – 58
EJ – 61
All in all, the scores were pretty good for the weather conditions.
Final scores (Handicap Score / Actual Score)
1st Place: Joe – 65 (-7) / 89
2nd Place: Rey – 68 (-4) / 90

Not only did Joe win his fourth Winter Classic Championship, he is did it in back to back years.
Well, that completes the 9th year at BJG. For the most part, I thought it was a competitive year, and, as usual, full of surprises.
Let’s all take some well-deserved time off from golf and enjoy the holidays with families and friends.
Meanwhile, at Broken Joe Golf World Headquarters, we will getting ready for our 10th season.

Respectfully,
Broken Joe
