While everyone was pretending to be golfers, Dustin was actually doing it.

Dustin was red hot with his putter, sinking multiple one-putts. Plus, Dustin’s driver and irons never really got him into any trouble. I also think that Cody may have inspired some calming confidence while driving the course together.

This is Dustin’s first big win since joining BJG in 2021, and Dustin even got his very first birdie on Hole 11. Congratulations !!!!

The front nine was a little more wet than we had first imagined, sorry, our bad.

Front Nine Scores

1st Place: Adam – 33 (48)

1st Place: Joe T – 33 (45)

3rd Place: Jason – 34 (43)

4th Place: Dustin – 36 (54)

5th Place: Cody – 39 (44)

5th Place: Joe – 39 (50)

7th Place: EJ – 41 (59)

8th Place: Alex – 44 (62)

9th Place: Cam – 45 (52)

Back Nine:

There were some scoring issues with Jason and Joe T on the 14th hole.

Cody initially disqualifies Joe T for not counting his score correctly, and not following the BJG rules. Joe T took his DQ, but after giving his explanation of the events on hole 14, Cody changed Joe T's penalty to 5 strokes because of the extenuating circumstances.

Cody disqualifies Jason for an improper score on the 14th hole, not following BJG rules, and for unacceptable behavior.

I will go into more detail in a separate blog post next week.

Dustin was the Greatest American Hero on the golf course on Sunday.

ree

Turns out that Iron Man (Cody) had a couple of dings in his armor.

ree

EJ turned out to be more Batman than Robin.

ree

Joe T proved his Superman strength by withstanding a 5 stroke penalty

ree

Alex was more like the bad ass Robin than Martian Mindhunter

ree

Adam was more like the Robin from 1966, after crashing on the back nine.

ree

Joe was more like Aquaman after putting three in the water at 14, and still not being able to get to the BJG drop zone.

ree

Cam turns out to be Daredevil because he had to be blind to shoot 91 and that's with his handicap.

ree

Jason, did turn into the Hulk.

Points from the Pretenders.

1st Place: Dustin – 24 Points

2nd Place: Cody – 21 Points

2nd Place: EJ – 21 Points

4th Place: Joe T – 18 Points

5th Place: Alex – 16 Points

6th Place: Adam – 14 Points

7th Place: Joe – 10 Points

8th Place: Cam – 8 Points

9th Place: Jason, Bryan, and Chris – 0 Points

I also felt that since we got rid of the Divisions, I needed to redo the Misters scores as an individual effort. Those scores are reflected in the total Race to Big Y (Dubai) scores.

Race to Big Y (Dubai) Points

1st Place: Cody – 51 Points

2nd Place: Alex – 50 Points

3rd Place: Adam – 49 Points

4th Place: Dustin – 44 Points

5th Place: EJ – 39 Points

6th Place: Joe T – 31 Points

7th Place: Jason – 29 Points

8th Place: Chris – 24 Points

9th Place: Cam – 22 Points

10th Place: Joe – 12 Points

11th Place: Bryan – 1 Point

Now we have a race, which means winning can move you up on the leaderboard, unless your name is Bryan.

Next on the schedule is the Woods Shootout at Franconia Golf Course on 5/21/23.

ree

Last but not least, I hope you all have a great Mother's Day.

ree

Respectfully,

Broken Joe,

Commissioner
