Fed Up Cup Playoffs & The Rider Cup Information

At the Chubby Classic, we talked a little bit about the playoffs. The look on some of your faces told me that you may have other places to be during the Playoffs… and that’s OK. 

However, it's important to understand the following rules that have been in effect for many years.

1.       If you miss the first round, you will go directly to the Legend of Tomorrow, Losers of Today.

2.       If you miss the second Round or The Legends of Tomorrow, Losers of Today, you will be out of the Playoffs.

3.       If you make it to the Fed Up Cup Finals and cannot play that Sunday, I will move the next Golfer up. 

It is important that each of you look at your calendars because, after the final Major, we will begin the Fed Up Cup Playoffs.

Round One – 9/8/24:  The top 4 Golfers will have a First Round bye.  The 5th Place Golfer through the 12th Place Golfer will be seeded.  The 13th-place golfer will automatically move to the Legends of Tomorrow / Losers of Today. 

Anyone who cannot play in their first-round match will move to the Legends of Tomorrow / Losers of Today. The single golfer of that match must complete the round to move to the second Round.

Round Two – 9/22/24:  8 Golfers (Top 4 plus the first-round winners) will play in the 2nd round of Fed Up Cup Play-Offs.  The 13th-place golfer and the four losers of the first round will play in the Legends of Tomorrow / Losers of Today.  Everyone will have an opportunity to play on this date.

Anyone who cannot play the 2nd Round or the Losers of Tomorrow will be out of the Playoffs and will have to try again next year.

The Fed Up Cup Finals—10/6/24: This is the moment you have all been working towards since the start of the BJG season. The top three golfers from the second Round AND the winner of the Legends of Tomorrow / Losers of Today will play in the Finals.

Anyone of the Top three Golfers from the 2nd Round who cannot play in the Fed Up Cup finals will be replaced by the next lowest-score golfer from the 2nd Round. The same rule would apply to the winner of the Legends of Tomorrow / Losers of Today.

RIDER CUP—10/20/24: The Rider Cup is a Team Event. The 12th and 13th-place Golfers will be the Rider Cup Captains and choose their Teams.  Before a Captain picks you for their team, please make sure you can play that day.  Nothing is worse than picking your team only to find out two days later that people cannot play.  Of course, if something comes up at the last minute, we will understand and continue to move forward.
