Jake was the only one who played well enough to not only conquer the front AND back but also to do so with his BJG handicap. Congratulations on your win.
Front Nine:
Group One, with the first tee time, smoked the front nine, with an average score of 41 while the rest of us had an average score of 52.75.
Dave was the man to catch with six pars and three bogeys for a 3 over Par - 39.
Other notable plays from the front were:
Cody found some trouble at the pond on the 2nd hole

Chris shot a 10 on the 2nd hole after he hit numerous trees, but the golf gods refused to let him lose a ball and just kept kicking it back out (barely).
Joe Willie shot a 15 on the 3rd hole. Yes, that would be plus 10 on the par 5.
Jon managed to shoot a 68 on the front with an 8, two 9s and two 10s to go with his 2 bogeys and a triple. On the bright side, Jon did make par on the 8th hole.

Front Nine Scores
Dave – 39

Back Nine
Cody is the winner of the back nine with five pars, a bogey, and three double bogeys, but with his high handicap, he knows he cannot win
Jake on the other hand shot another 44 to match his front score.
Dave cracks under the pressure of his front 39 and Bryan just goes down in flames but he wasn’t the only one, there were a lot of double bogeys and higher.
Joe Willie and Rock have meltdowns on the 14th and 18th hole.
Joe, who was hanging on by a thread, comes unraveled on 15, 16, and 17 with double bogeys and finishes things up with an 8 on the 18th hole, Par 3.
Steve starts the backside with a big 8, Chris adds scores of 8 and 10, but Bryan is the big loser on the back. Bryan has a 7, two 8s and a 9 and, we all know that can’t be good for your score.
Nic has a pair of 8s and while Jon’s back nine score is lower, but he still has a 7, two 8s and a 9 on his scorecard. Just like the front, Jon did manage a Par on the back.
It was HOT & Humid playing the back nine, that could have had something to do with the terrible scores.
Back Nine Scores:
Cody – 43
Jake – 44
Dan – 49
Dave – 50
Rey – 51
Harry – 52
Joe Willie – 52
Rock – 53

With Jake’s win and Joe Willie’s crash, Joe Willie’s lead is now down to just 23 points. The regular season is coming down to the last two events and, both of them are Majors with some high points, where anything can happen.
Meanwhile, there are only 9.5 points separating 2nd Place through 7th Place. More importantly, there are only 12 points separating 11th (Rock), 12th (Dan), and 13th (Chris). Who will be on the outside looking in?
Next up is the American Freedom Open, which is our 3rd Major and will be played on July 26th, 2020 at Veterans Golf Course. The American Freedom Open is also the third leg of the BJG Championship.
Last but not least, we all hope that Harry had a very Happy Birthday.
Respectfully,
Broken Joe
