This is Jason's 3rd win in 2023, with this being his 2nd Major victory and a back-to-back round winner (Valhalla).
Jason is hitting his stride at just the right time... PLAYOFF TIME.
When you look at this picture, you can see that Jason is sending you a message and that message is that you better bring your best to the Fed Up Cup Playoffs or you are going home early.
Agawam Municipal Golf Course
It was a beautiful day to play golf, and Agawam Golf Course is looking good compared to previous years.

There are a lot of Golfers ahead of us, even though we have an 8:40 Tee Time.
Front Nine Scores:
1st - EJ – 27 (45)
2nd - Dustin – 30 (48)
3rd - Jason – 34 (43)
3rd - Joe – 34 (45)
5th - Cody – 39 (44)
5th - Cam – 39 (46)
7th - Adam – 40 (55)
8th - Joe T – 43 (55)
EJ crushes the front nine with 4 pars and 2 bogeys, but the front nines have never really been EJ’s problem.
Dustin has also playing well, and he is getting some help from the Golf Gods who refused to let him lose a ball into the woods.
Joe starts the first hole with TWO lost balls and a 10 and he knows he is in trouble. Fortunately, he is able to right the ship with a birdie and 4 pars and ties with Jason’s on his front-nine score.
Cody seems a little off the pace, but Cam is playing his best golf of the year. Maybe Cam taking the last 4 rounds off is helping his game.
Adam, Mr. Consistent, has two 8s and a 9. Adam needs to play better golf if he wants the Race to Big Y (Dubai) $50 Gift Card.
Joe T is having a tough morning, especially with the 10 on the 4th hole.
The day is warming up, and the going can be a little slow at times, especially as we wait for the group in front of us to clear the greens.
The Par 3, 5th Hole plays the easiest with a score of just a half stroke over Par. The Par 4, 4th Hole plays the hardest at 2.5 strokes over par.
As a group, we have a score of 48, but with our handicap, we are just one over par (36).
The Back Nine:
The back nine is definitely more challenging than the wide-open front. The layout is narrower with more woods, along with doglegs and streams.
Back Nine Scores:
1st - Jason – 31 (40)
2nd - Cody – 33 (38)
3rd - Adam – 37 (53)
4th - Joe – 39 (51)
5th - Cam – 41 (48)
6th - Dustin – 42 (54)
7th - Joe T – 42 (54)
8th - EJ – 46 (64)
Once again, Jason plays better golf on the back nine with 6 Pars. Cody has 6 pars and a birdie, but the 7 on the 17th hole gives Jason the 2-stroke lead on the back.
Adam starts the back off with an 11 but then plays better golf. Joe lets the heat and his age get to him as he finishes the back nine with 8, 8, and 6. Cam plays well until he gets a 10 on the 16th hole.
Dustin has a 10 and a 9 on his scorecard, while Joe T brings his own 9 and 8 to the party.
As good as EJ was on the front, he was that bad on the back. EJ started the back with an 11 and then finished with 8, 10, and 7.
The Par 3, 15th Hole plays the easiest with a score of just under 1 stroke over Par. The Par 5,17th Hole plays the hardest at 2.5 strokes over par.
As a group, we have a score of 51 for a total of 99, but with our handicap, our back nine score was 39 and a total of 74.
BJG Championship Final Scores
1st Place: Jason – 65 (83)
2nd Place: Cody – 72 (82)
2nd Place: Dustin – 72 (108)
4th Place: EJ – 73 (109)
4th Place: Joe – 73 (96)
6th Place: Adam – 77 (108)
7th Place: Cam – 80 (94)
8th Place: Joe T – 85 (109)
Jason once again plays great golf to take another victory in 2023. For those of you that are counting, that’s 2 Majors and the Valhalla.
As has been the case all year, the scores are close with two golfers tying with a 72, (2nd Place) and two golfers tying with a 73 (4th Place).
BJG Championship Points
1st Place: Jason – 46 Points
2nd Place: Cody – 38.5 Points
2nd Place: Dustin – 38.5 Points
4th Place: EJ – 28.5 Points
4th Place: Joe – 28.5 Points
6th Place: Adam – 20 Points
7th Place: Cam – 15 Points
8th Place: Joe T – 10 Points
These were some BIG points to be earned, and there will be some changes to the final Race to Big Y (Dubai) standings.
In a rare victory for Joe in the 2023 BJG season, Joe wins both Closest to the Pins and the $100 !!! Of course, he did destroy the 2nd tape measure, so there goes some of his winnings.
The next blog post will be the Race to Big Y (Dubai)
For those that have not looked at the 2023 BJG schedule, we next play on Aug 27th at Southampton for the first round of the BJG Fed Up Cup Playoffs.
Respectfully.
