Thank goodness Joe won the Time Travelers Championship, otherwise, he would have just looked silly in the grocery store dressed the way he was without the trophy.
Joe was finally able to put a stop to the bleeding and get a little bit of confidence back at the same time. Airways, at just 5,500 yards, was the perfect distance for Joe to get back to his winning ways.
We also had a special guest join us… ROCK !! (Yes, it's an old picture but I did not get a new one at Airways.)

It was a pleasant surprise since we only had 7 golfers playing this week.
And just in case you are wondering, Rock still has it, shooting 1 under par (with his BJG handicap).
It was a beautiful day, but the humidity was slowly cranking up as we waited for our tee time.
Front Nine Scores:
1st: Joe T – 34 (46)
2nd: Alex – 35 (53)
3rd: Cody – 36 (41)
3rd: Jason – 36 (45)
3rd: Joe – 36 (47)
6th: EJ -37 (55)
7th: Adam – 42 (57)
I think these were the tightest front-nine scores I’ve seen all year. Adam was off the pace, but he was hoping the back nine would be a little kinder to him.
The easiest hole on the front was the Par 4, 8th Hole which played just one stroke over par.
The hardest hole on the front was the Par 4, 3rd Hole which played a whopping 2.57 strokes over par.
Back Nine Scores:
1st: Joe – 26 (38)
2nd: Joe T – 30 (42)
3rd: Alex – 32 (50)
3rd: Cody – 32 (37)
5th: EJ – 36 (54)
6th: Jason – 37 (46)
7th: Adam – 41 (59)
It was hot and humid on the back nine, but once again we had some low scores.
Adam just couldn’t get it together, but he never stopped trying, and while he was frustrated, he understood that it was just the way it goes some days.
The easiest hole on the back was the Par 4, 18th hole which played at just .43 strokes over par.
The hardest hole on the back was the Par 3, 13th hole which played 2 strokes over par.
Time Travelers Final Scores:
1st Place: Joe – 62 (85)
2nd Place: Joe T – 64 (88)
3rd Place: Alex – 67 (103)
4th Place: Cody – 68 (78)
5th Place: EJ – 73 (109)
5th Place: Jason – 73 (91)
7th Place: Adam – 85 (116)
DNP: Cam
DNP: Dustin
Joe & Joe T battled it out on the back nine. Going into the 18th hole all tied up at 59 (handicap score). Joe finishes the 18th hole with a birdie 3, and Joe T finishes with a Bogey 5. That was enough to give Joe the win.
Hats off to Alex, who kept it tight until he stumbled on the final three holes. Cody made a valiant effort to close the gap on Alex, but he came up short by one stroke.
EJ and Jason finish tied, so there won’t be any movement for them on the Leaderboard.
Adam had volunteered at the Travelers Championship all week and was not able to get his usual practice in. On the other hand, he did get to see some great swings from the Pros in the practice area at the Travelers Championship.
Time Travelers Points:
1st Place: Joe – 10
2nd Place: Joe T – 9
3rd Place: Alex – 8
4th Place: Cody – 6
5th Place: EJ – 4.5
5th Place: Jason – 4.5
7th Place: Adam – 3
DNP: Cam
DNP: Dustin
Race To Big Y (Dubai)
1st Place: Cody – 118 Points
2nd Place: Adam – 112 Points
3rd Place: EJ – 83 Points
3rd Place: Jason – 83 Points
5th Place: Alex – 78 Points
6th Place: Dustin – 68 Points
6th Place: Joe – 68 Points
8th Place: Joe T – 64 Points
9th Place: Cam – 37 Points
Cody continues to hold the lead with just three rounds of golf left in the regular season. Adam was fortunate that the Time Travelers was only worth one point, so he is now just 6 points back from 1st place.
EJ and Jason continue to hold 3rd place, but they are down by 29 Points and will need a lot of help to catch Adam.
Alex sits alone in the 5th spot, just 6 Points back from EJ and Jason.
Joe moves up a spot and is now tied with Dustin at 6th Place. Joe and Dustin are just 10 Points from 5th Place and 16 points from EJ and Jason at 3rd.
In the 8th spot, Joe T is just 4 points back from Joe and Dustin, 14 Points from 5th Place, and 20 Points from 3rd Place.
Cam is holding on tight to last place with both hands and will need a miracle to overcome the 27 points difference to get to 8th Place and a chance for the Playoffs.
With 2 Majors coming up, there could be some movement on the Leaderboard and the Race to Big Y (Dubai) winner.
Closest to the Pin: No one could hit the green on the 7th Hole, 147-yard Par 3, or the 10th Hole, 112-yard Par 3.
The Closest to the Pins at the American Freedom Open will be worth $60 on the front and $40 on the back. Talk about a chance to make your money back…
The American Freedom Open is our 3rd Major and will be played on July 9th at Veterans Golf Course in Springfield.
Respectfully.
