It’s time to talk about money, specifically the 2025 BJG Membership Fee. Truthfully, I have struggled with this for some time.

There is no way to sugarcoat it; the cost is $95.00

The total 2025 BJG budget is about $45 less than the 2024 BJG budget, with the annual budget being about $1,200. Of course, that does not include anything that comes up during the year because that comes out of my pocket. Last year, I had to buy two new trophies because they were not returned in 2024. As the Commissioner, I accept that as a part of doing business.

Yes, I could eliminate the 2024 BJG Awards and the 2025 BJG Winter Meeting, but I feel these events are important. Before the BJG season, we get an opportunity to come together and honor our members' accomplishments from the following year and a final chance to discuss the upcoming season.

Yes, I could eliminate the BJG website, but it holds some of our history. Since its inception on March 21st, 2015, 513 blog posts have been written. I have looked at other web hosting sites, but the cost was about the same. I am looking at Facebook, but I don’t want to have to deal with monitoring it. EJ has suggested Discord, but I am sure it, too, may have its own challenges.

I know $95 is a lot of money, but we pay this price or more for a single golf tournament. I hope you feel like you are getting your money's worth.

The 2025 Membership Fees are due to me no later than Sunday, February 23rd, 2025, which is 32 days from now.
