Is it just me, or have we had more "Breaking News" than ever before...
I am ready to call UNCLE. I really thought that the Divisions was a great way to build more competition, but last year did not work very well, and this year has not been going any better…

After a long talk with Cody and meeting with the Competition Committee, we decided it was better to change back to the old BJG (PGA) way rather than continue to plow forward with Divisions, knowing that it will only get worse as time marches on.

Getting rid of the Divisions will also make it sooo much easier to assign groups and tee times. Plus, it should bring back a better level of overall competition. Now Adam, Alex, and Jason can try to move Cody from the top of the leaderboard. This will also allow the bottom group to fight for the final playoff spot.

I will work on a plan for how the playoffs will work and send that out in a future blog.
So, effective immediately, the Divisions are no more, and it is every man for themselves, just the way the Golf Gods had intended it. Everyone will keep their points to date. I will come up with a new idea for those "Division" trophies.
Current Leaderboard
1st Place: Cody 10 Points
2nd Place: Adam – 8 Points
3rd Place: Alex – 7 Points
4th Place: Jason – 6 Points
5th Place: Chris – 5 Points
6th Place: Dustin – 4 Points
6th Place: EJ – 4 Points
6th Place: Joe T – 4 Points
9th Place: Cam – 3 Points
10th Place: Joe – 2 Points
11th Place: Bryan – 1 Point
The points system will also change based on the total number of points. Points for the Pretenders will be:
1st Place – 22 Points
2nd Place – 20 Points
3rd Place – 18 Points
4th Place – 16 Points
5th Place – 14 Points
6th Place – 12 Points
7th Place – 10 Points
8th Place – 8 Points
9th Place – 6 Points
10th Place – 4 Points
11th Place – 2 Points
For a total of 132 points available for the Pretenders.
Groups and Tee Times
Group 1 – 8:40
Cart One: Joe & Dustin
Cart Two: Cody
Group 2 – 8:48
Cart Three: Joe T & EJ
Cart Four: Jason
Group 3 – 8:56
Cart Five – Adam & Alex
Cart Six – Cam
NOTE:
Holes 11, 12. 13, and 14 have drop zones which will be marked with the BJG White Flags. Remember, 2 balls must land in the water before you can move to the drop zone. Cody will make these rules clear on the first tee box so come a little early.
Cody will handle the BJG drop zones and Group One will handle the Closest to the Pin equipment. Group 3 will pick up all BJG equipment and return it back to Joe T after the round.
I saw the course on Friday, and it was a little wet. I am hoping that the golf course will dry out by Sunday. Cody will make a decision about the course conditions on Sunday.
It's been about 35 days since we were together, playing golf, so don't forget to have some fun, even if your golf game is a little rusty.

Respectfully,
Broken Joe
Commissioner
