Ok, I can admit when I am wrong, but I’m pretty sure we have played golf on Easter before.
Besides, it just kind of fit, right? We did not have the back-to-back crazy schedule that we had last year and the season ended in Oct instead of Nov. Plus, we were playing the “Misters” on the very same day that the PGA was playing the final round of the “Masters”.

I guess it just seemed like it was going to work out....
But I was wrong…
How do you even know what day Easter is going to be unless you Google it?
Did you know that Easter is the only “holiday” whose date fluctuates from year to year? Easter always falls on the first Sunday after the Paschal Full Moon, the first full moon after the vernal equinox. Making the earliest day available to observe Easter, March 22, and the latest day, April 25.
That’s right, I said Paschal Full Moon and Vernal Equinox in the same sentence.

Here are the Easter dates for the next 10 years.
2023 – April 9
2024 – March 31
2025 – April 20
2026 – April 5
2027 – March 28
2028 – April 15
2029 – April 1
2030 – April 21
2031 – April 15
2032 – March 28
2033 – April 17
WOW. You're welcome.
You may be asking yourself, why isn’t Easter a federal holiday in the United States?
Because most federal holidays are not based on religion, aside from Christmas. Since Easter is always on a Sunday, there's no reason for the Feds to make it a holiday because federal offices are closed. Yet when Christmas and New Year's Day fall on a weekend, it is observed on the following Monday or the previous Friday.
But there are twelve states do make Good Friday a holiday, so there is that...
Connecticut
Delaware
Florida
Hawaii
Indiana
Kentucky
Louisiana
New Jersey
North Carolina
North Dakota
Tennessee
Texas
How did I know I was wrong? Well, probably the same way Dustin realized that he wasn’t playing golf on April 9th…. Someone told us...
Yes, I was wrong for forgetting about the joys of the Easter Bunny and the annual hunting of the Easter eggs.

First of all, the BJG schedule is always a draft until after the Winter Meeting. Second, Joe T and I have worked out a plan that removes Easter from the BJG schedule, plus we have reduced the price of the "Closest to the Pins" to $40.00. We will talk in more detail at the BJG Winter Meeting.
Again, my bad.
PS - There are just 12 more days until the 2023 BJG Winter Meeting. I hope to have the agenda out on Wednesday.
Respectfully,
Broken Joe
