Our First Major of the year: THE MISTERS

The Mister Tournament (usually referred to as simply the Misters is the first of Broken Joe GOLF’s FOUR Major Golf Championships. It is generally scheduled for the first full week in April and the same Sunday as THE MASTERS final round.

The Misters started as a practice round in 2017 and became our first Major Championship in 2018.

Our tournament has one of the same traditions as THE MASTER. Since 2018, a green jacket has been awarded to the champion.  Unlike THE MASTERS, the winner gets to keep their green jacket, but you can only win ONE jacket.

Dave Carabine is the only golfer to win the Misters twice. A member of the Carabine family has won the Misters between 2018 and 2022.  Iron Mike is the current Misters Champion.

Chicopee Country Club did not answer the phone when Joe T tried to call them last weekend, so...

The Misters will NOW be played at Tekoa Country Club, 459 Russell Rd, Westfield, MA 01085, on April 12th, 2026.  Plus, Joe T got us the group rate!!!  I hope to let you know the actual cost on Friday.

The Misters is worth a total 554 Points, with 64 Points for First Place and 4 points for Last Place.  Make no mistake, this will be a MOVING day for the Race to Big Y (Dubia) Leaderboard.

BJG sponsored Closest to the Pin:  Hole 3, 139 Yards.  This is from the Pan Am ($20)

Closest to the Pin:  Hole 11, 155 Yards. 

Longest Drive:  Hole 13, 372 Yards. The ball must be in the fairway to be counted.

The 3rd Hole has water in front of the green. After you put two balls in the water, you can move to the BJG Drop Zone.

The BJG Zone is about 11 o'clock of the Pin and left of the cart path. (Circle)

 All Majors are grouped by the Leaderboard, except that all 2025 Champions will lead us off the first tee box.  As the 2025 Misters Champion, Iron Mike will have that honor on Sunday.

Eric will not be playing, so Dustin will get his second start in as many weeks.

Group One will take the equipment out on the course, and Group Four will pick it up and return it to Adam.

Please let Adam / Iron Mike know if you will be participating in the 2026 Longest Drive / Closets to the Pin Competition.  Once Adam has that number, he can figure out the cost and payouts.

Please let me know asap if you cannot play in this Major event.
