Last year we had to deal with Hurricane Andre during the BJG Championship, this year we have the remnants of Hurricane Ian come through. Yes, it was windy and chilly, but that did not stop people from wearing shorts and polos.

Front Nine Scores:

Adam – 35 (1 Under Par) / 50

Juan – 37 (1 Over Par) / 52

Joe T – 37 (1 Over Par) / 49

Cody – 38 (2 Over Par) / 43

Jason – 39 (3 Over Par) / 48

Alex – 41 (5 Over Par) / 59

Jake – 43 (7 Over Par) / 52

Dustin – 51 (15 Over Par) / 69

Adam is playing good golf. Adam had a chance to shoot a lower score with his two Pars, but the 8 on the long Par 3, 5th Hole brought him back to earth.

Juan and Joe T are having a good battle. Joe T plays Double Bogey golf and then goes Par, Par, Par on holes 6, 7, and 8. His 8 on the 9th hole won’t help. Juan has his own 8 on the 2nd hole but then grabs a Birdie on the 8th hole. Juan and Joe T are just one stroke back from the lead.

Cody has 3 Pars but is playing Bogey golf and finds himself 2 strokes off the lead and one behind Juan and Joe T.

Jason has 3 Pars but he also has a couple of Double Bogeys to go with his Bogeys.

Jason’s blow-up hole was on the 7th hole, Par 3 where he gets a 7. Jason is 3 strokes back but only one stroke from Cody.

Alex is holding his own, but the 8 of the 5th hole, and the 10 on the 9th hole are the main reason that Alex is 6 off the lead

Jake has 3 Triple Bogeys to go with his lone Par. Jake is 7 strokes back and he will need to play “better” golf if he wants to make it to the next round.

Dustin had some major trouble getting over the water on the 9th hole and walks away with a 17. Dustin will need a miracle to come back from that number.

Back Nine Scores:

Adam – 37 (1 Over Par) / 53

Cody – 37 (1 Over Par) / 42

Jake – 37 (1 Over Par) / 47

Alex – 38 (2 Over Par) / 56

Jason – 39 (3 Over Par) / 48

Juan – 44 (8 Over Par) / 59

Joe T – 45 (9 Over Par) / 57

Dustin – 45 (9 Over Par) / 63

I have to tell you, it is COLD and WINDY. Most of these guys are dressed as if they live in Florida, wearing shorts and a short sleeve shirt. You can tell people are cold.

Adam has the wheels start to fall off as he goes 9, 8, 9 on the 10th, 11th, and 12th holes before pulling himself together for 2 Pars and a Birdie.

Cody tries to play “better” golf scoring 4 Pars and a Birdie.

ree

Jake has a mixed bag with some Pars, Bogeys, Double Bogeys, and even a Triple.

ree

Alex also has trouble with holes 10, 11, and 12.

Jason plays Bogey golf until he gets to the last 3 holes, and then he goes Birdie and two Triple Bogeys.

ree

Juan starts bad and finishes bad with 2 Quadruple Bogeys and 2 Triple Bogeys.

ree

Joe T starts the back with 7, 9, 9, 6, and an 8. Joe T gets back on track with a Bogey and 2 Pars before finishing with a Triple.

Dustin starts the back nine ok but then goes 8, 8, 9, and 12. The good news is that Dustin finished the round with a Par.

Adam was the only one that actually dressed for the weather and it shows. This is the 2nd year in a row that Adam has won the Fed Up Cup 2nd Round Trophy.

It is kind of cool that the top four Golfers are from each Division.

Congratulations to Adam (Team Mediocrity), Cody (Dude, Where’s My Par), Jason (A Few Good Men), and Alex (Dumpster Fire).

The Fed Up Cup Final will be played on 10/16/22 and is scheduled to be played at Southampton County Club.
