And so, the Broken Joe National Golf League is in full swing, and we have officially awarded "divisional" trophies to the division winners of the Pretenders.
For this round, I kept the divisions together to let them battle it, and some fared better than others. Overall, I think it worked well.
Front Nine:
Dude, Where’s My Car: Jake and Cody come out of the gate swinging and both finish the front with 44, but Dave is right on their heels with his 45. Bryan is pulling up the rear with a 47, but so far, it's close and it’s still anyone’s match.
A Few Good Men: Joe makes a strong move on the front with his 45 and Rey is doing his best to stay with him, shooting 49. Joe T and Rock are tied with 52. Joe doesn’t have a lot of luck with the back nine so it’s still wide open.
Team Mediocrity: Adam and Juan are fighting hard, but Adam is up by one with the score being 50 vs 51. Matt is third with a 56 and Dan’s trying to find his way with a 59.
Dumpster Fire: Dustin has the lead after nine with a score of 56. Alex, Jon, and EJ are closer than expected with scores of 59, 60, and 62.
Back Nine
Dude, Where’s My Car: Cody comes storming back with a 41, and Bryan makes his move with a 45. Jake stumbles on the 16th hole with an 8 to finish the back with 48. Dave crashes on 16 & 17 with a pair of 9s and finishes with a 50
A Few Good Men: Joe shoots another 45 on the back and Rey takes 2 strokes off his front score and ends with a 47. Joe T has five 7s and ends up with a 53. Rock has a couple of 8s to go with his 13 on the 16th hole and finishes with a 58.
Team Mediocrity: Adam continues to play well with a 53. Juan works hard but the best he can do is 55. Dan has an 8 and an 11 (16 & 17) to finish with a 60. Matt has his own pair of 10s on 16 & 17 to finish up with 61.
Dumpster Fire: Dustin and Alex once again battle to a tie on the back nine with a 59. EJ makes it a game by coming in with a 60 to Jon’s 61.
Final Scores:
Dude, Where’s My Car: Jake and Bryan tie with 92 but after a quick Putt Off, Jake is declared the winner. Cody shoots an 85 but with his plus 9 he finished the day with a 94. Dave brings up the rear with a 95.
A Few Good Men: Joe plays well but just cannot find his way to the 80s and finishes with a score of 90. Rey comes in next with a 96 and Joe T is looking at 105. Rock finishes the tough day with a 110 but with his minus 3, he is now at 107.
Team Mediocrity: Adam finishes strong with a 103 and Juan keeps it close with a 106. Matt shoots a 117 but with his minus 5, he completes the day with a 112. Dan brings up the rear with a 119 and with his minus 2, finishes with a 117.
Dumpster Fire: Dustin finishes upfront with a 115 with Alex right behind him with a 118. Jon manages to stay in front of EJ by one stroke with final scores of 124 and 125.
