The rest of you are the Double Losers of Today.

A lot was going on last Sunday. We had the top 8 golfers playing the 2nd Round of the "Fed Up Cup" along with the bottom 9 golfers playing the inaugural “Legends of Tomorrow, Loser of Today: The Battle for 9th Place.

Juan texted me the night before asking what time his tee time was and on Sunday, Steve asked me who he was playing with. We really need a place where people can go to get information concerning Broken Joe Golf… but WHERE????

Anyway, we had Matt, Jake, Juan & Juan’s friend playing in the 3rd group and Steve, Dan and Rey playing in the 4th Group. Bryan and Rock were off and, no one has heard from Jon in a while.

I would love to tell you the Play by Play but, the fact is, Jake and Matt lost their scorecard.

They decide to put away their clubs before heading in for a beer. Yes, they left the scorecard in the cart and, the attendant did something with it. They looked everywhere but, it was gone and, of course, that means a big Did Not Play (DNP).

Rumor has it that the scores were so bad that the burned the scorecard in the parking lot.

Rey, Juan, and Juan’s friend were so disgusted they left without saying goodbye.

Front Nine: Steve had a couple of pars early to keep the lead over Rey and, Dan was a double bogey machine

Front Nine Scores:

Steve – 51

Rey – 53

Dan – 57

Back Nine: Rey gets the only par on the back while Steve is a triple bogey maker. Dan has his blowup hole on the 10th and then tries to ride it out, finishing one stroke better than his front nine score.

Back Nine Scores:

Rey – 51

Steve – 55

Dan - 56

Since Rey is no longer getting any strokes, Steve wins by one stroke.

Final Score (Actual Scores)

Steve – 105 (108)

Rey – 106 (106)

Dan – 113 (116)

Hopefully, next year we will have more than three golfers “battling” for 9th place.

After the Tour Championship, we will have our "Rider Cup". Matt and Jon are Captains and the "Rider Cup" will be played on Oct 4th, 2020 at Veterans. Hopefully, I can track down Jon and we can pick teams at some point this weekend.
