The 2022 Pretenders (The Players)

The Pretenders (Players) Championship will be played on April 24th, 2022 at Agawam Municipal Golf Course.

The Pretenders is worth 5 points for 1st place, 3 points for 2nd place, 2 points for 3rd place, and 1 point for last place (Division)

Right now, Sunday's temperature range will be an overnight low of 40 and a high of 60. There is a 24% chance of rain and the wind will be from the west at 5 to 10 MPH. Of course, that could all change by Sunday.

The big news this week is that Chris is out for the season. Chris now gets the chance to spend more time with his wife while his shoulder continues to heal.

That means that Matty Ice has moved up from being part of the Dumpster Fire to being part of Team Mediocrity.

Each Division will have a weekly winner and these are the divisional trophies.

To determine the winner of the BJG Trophy, we will add up the total Par 3 scores of those four divisional winners. Lowest score will take home the BJG Trophy, in this case it would be the Pretenders Trophy.

To make this just a little fairer, "Team Mediocrity" will have get a total of -1 and "Dumpster Fire" will get a total of -2 after tallying their Par 3 scores. "Dude's, Where's my Par" and "A Few Good Men" will get nothing. These "handicaps" will not be in effect for Pine Knoll.

If there is still a tie, we will go to a putt-off.

Most golf courses only have a total of four Par 3s, Agawam has six ,so you had better play them to the best of your ability.

The Longest Drive will be on hole 7. Remember, the flag goes in the fairway where your ball ended up.

Hole 15 is the Closest to the Pin.

Please bring Joe T $40.00 if you want in for the longest drive and closest to the pin for the remainder of the regular season.
