It has been a long 11 days of BJG, my daughter's wedding, Mother's Day, my new job and still working my old job. I am just glad to finally get a blog out.
In 2022, as the the final day of the AT&T Bryon Nelson was being played, I thought that BJG should name one of our events with the same spirit as one of the greatest golfers of all time.
Of course, the choice was obvious…
Tiger Woods has been the most dominant player for most of our lives, much like Muhammad Ali, Michael Jordon, and Wayne Gretzky, just to name a few.
Tiger Woods, for most, if not all of us, is the embodiment of who each of us, as a golfer, strives to be during each round of golf.
Some of us are like the "young" Woods, wanting to crush the competition each and every week.

Some of us are like a "troubled" Woods.

Some of us are like a "broken" Woods.

But most of us are just "In The Woods"… a lot.

The "2023 Woods Shootout" will be played on May 21st, 2023 at Franconia Golf Course in Springfield
In the spirit of Tiger, we should all wear his signature Sunday outfit - Red Shirt with Black Shorts or Pants.

Since Joe is our 2022 Woods Shootout Champion, he will lead us off the first tee box.
Tee Times and Groupings:
Group One: 9:24
Cart One - Joe & Cody
Cart Two - Jason
Group Two: 9:32
Cart Three - Cam & Bryan
Cart Four - EJ
Group Three: 9:41
Cart Five - Adam & Alex
Cart Six - Joe T & Dustin
Closest to the Pin on the front is the Par 3, 107 yard, 5th Hole, and on the back nine it will be the Par 3, 132 yard, 14th Hole.
The only possible water hole is the 14th hole so look for the BJG Drop Zone. Remember, 2 consecutives balls must land in the water before moving to the BJG drop zone.

I think I speak for everyone at BJG when I say that we are sorry to see Chris leave BJG, but sometimes life just gets in the way. Chris, good luck with the future and if your schedule every allows you a chance to play golf, give us a call and we will try to find a spot for you.
For the rest of BJG, good luck on Sunday, and try to stay out of the "woods".
Respectfully,
Broken Joe
Commissioner
