For the seventh year in a row, Broken Joe Golf finished in the red. At the end of the 2020 Season, Broken Joe Golf was short by $41.26.

In 2021, we have our staple costs: Website, Championship of the World, Name Plates, Fed Up Cup & WCC shirts, Rookie of the Year, Presidents Cup Medals, and, The Race to Big Y (Dubai) Big Y Card.

In 2021, we also need a new trophy for the (Draft) Rosy Palmer Invitational (I may change that name) and, we need to buy TWO Mister Green Jackets this year because they are being discontinued. This will give me at least 2 years to find a replacement jacket.

I have also thrown in an estimated price for an "End of Season" event where we can have our Annual Awards dinner. Just a thought.

With the current membership (16), and with an Annual Awards dinner, the cost would be about $75.00 per golfer. Without the Annual Awards dinner, the cost would be about $41.00 per golfer.

Potentially, we could have FOUR new golfers in 2021 but 2 of them cannot play golf on Saturdays.

Four would be the perfect number (16 + 4 = 20 / or 5 Groups).

IF we were to bring in 4 new golfer ($80 new member fee), the cost with the Awards dinner would be $52.00 and without the Annual dinner would be about $17.00 .

Of course, there is always a Catch 22: More golfers brings down the individual costs but forces the tee times to go later, less golfer bring the cost of doing business up but tee time can be earlier. Chose your fate wisely.

Every year the BJG Fees are a moving target. I will not really know what the fees are until we figure how many golfers we have, how many new golfers we will have and, what the Committee & the membership approves for the budget.

Either way, we have a committee for that. The committee members are Dan, Harry, Juan and Jon.

Last week's Trivia question was only answered by 2 people. That was Juan at 5:14am and Steve, who isn't even playing golf with us 2021. Adam, once again, was a week late to the party but at least he answered the question... FYI, the answer was "Holly". Juan has won himself 12 new Wilson Golf Balls which he will be able to find with his new glasses.

It is interesting that as of this morning, the "Rules" blog post has only been viewed 9 times...

There are just over 30 days before the 2021 BJG Winter Meeting. I hope all of the Committees are doing their job and come prepared for the BJG Winter Meeting.
